It’s a collab between Lervig Aktiebryggeri and Redchurch Brewery from England. It’s a bottle of their ’Softly Softly’, a Brett’d and oaked Belgian red ale at 6.66% ABV. It pours a dark deep red colored body with a slightly beige head. It looks quite nice! The aroma is kinda funky and fruity at the same time. There’s a nice red gummy bear note to it almost, with some toasted nuts and yeast too. Interesting! The taste is much more on the yeasty side. Big notes of that classic Belgian yeast, a nice maltyness but with a nice amount of funk or brett too. The taste wears off pretty fast though. Bummer, because it’s actually pretty nice! I do miss some bitterness or some more sourness. As it is right now it’s pretty malt and yeast forward. A good beer, but it lacks that little something to make it truly great. 33cl bottle purchased at Oedipus Brewery, Amsterdam and poured into a tulip glass on 07-May-2017. Reddish amber colour with a medium sized off-white head. Medium body and carbonation. Taste is tart and fruity - caramel, berries and sherbet; a little sour. A nice collaboration. Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2017
Keg. Dark brown. Speckly head. Dominated by a woody barrel character. Fruity and malty sweetness vying with sourness. Decent stuff. AndySnow (7545) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - FEB 13, 2017

Bottled. Cloudy copper colour, rich head. Cardboard and caramel, some red apples and hay. Very slight rred berry tartness. Sweet and bold, square and unrefined. Some cobwebs artificially placed on caramel and red berries. Lifeless. SVD (1949) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 31, 2016

Murky chestnut brown, tall dense off-white head. good retention & lacing. The aroma is caramel malts, candy & Belagian yeast. Medium body. Oily. The flavour is not sour at all. Semidry. Sweetish dark malts. Dried fruit. Spicy yeast. Light to medium hoppy grassy bitterness. I don’t think it’s made according to the style yet it’s a good brew. Bottle, received, some time ago, as an extra in a trade with Leighton. Cheers! Copper colour. Light haze. Thin, dense, lasting, white head. Nose has apricot. Red berry fruit. Soapy brett. Sawn wood. Taste is soapy, floral sweet. Some bretty tang. Foamy mouthfeel. Quite light and refreshing. Bretty, floral finish. Sets off nice and fruity, but gets a little too floral thereafter.
