Black pour with a thick tan head. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla aromas, a little roast and wood. Very balanced, choc/coffee/vanilla taste, really no boozy taste at all - this was excellent

Not too different to a base beer. Barrel didnt add much to the base beer, but didnt destroy it either (hello hypnopompa rum). Still its a very enjoyable beer with hefty amount of tonka, vanilla and chocolate.

Clear dark black brown colour with a small small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, tonka beans, sweet malt, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, tonka beans, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160923]

Nieco mniej ciała i niższe nagazowanie, a zarazem gorsza piana.

Tap at TCBW. Pours black. Aroma is sweet, spicy, cinnamon, cardemon, vanilla. Flavor is is sweet and bitter, spicy, cardemon, vanilla. Finish is roast bitter. Overall: good, but too much spices and not enough beer.

On tap at TCBW 2017. Dark brown almost black colour. Moderate beige head. Lots of sweetness, slight sourness, notes of sherry, vanilla in the aroma. Very interesting aroma. Chocolate, chocolate cake, vanilla, cocoa and sweetness in the taste. Notes of some alcochol as well. Lots of different desserts made of chocolate in the aftertaste. Also notes of cocoa. Nice one.

alteregoo (1678) - Kalisz, POLAND - MAY 12, 2017
Ciemna, obfita, średnio trwała piana. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta.
To wciąż potężne, intensywne piwo, aczkolwiek o ile w zapachu wersja beczkowa wyszła świetnie, o tyle w smaku jest nieco zbyt alkoholowe, zbyt bourbonowo-destylatowe...

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2017 Tap (TCBW2017)
Sweet roasty aroma, fruity, plenty of barrel and vanilla. Dark black, tight brown head settles to a ring. Sweet roasty body, and strangely some coconut. Chocolatey, and obvious barrel - says bourbon. Medium palate, moderate carbonation, drinkability decent, in particular for a beer of this strength, the alcohol is kept well in check behind the sugars. Coconut was odd, but not unpleasant, perhaps a bit barrelly and sweet.
