0.33l bottle. A big big head! Almost so huge that I want to call it gigantic! It’s fluffy and lasting as well - this on top of a near clear honey golden body. Doesn’t have an extreme nose, but it has some nice sweet caramel tones, light floral, faint hops in the background and a hint of grass and licorice. Not bad, still a bit mellow. It’s as expected lively on the carbonation and it has a thin mouthfeel. Taste what you can expect. I’m no huge fan of the genre but it tastes what it should taste I suppose. Light caramel sweet, well balanced, malty sweetness and a little bit of wet grains. A fair amount of bitterness in the finish and aftertaste that I’m experiencing to be slightly metallic. Easy enough to drink, but I feel no urges to have another bottle. 03.08.2013 Cimbasso (891) - - DEC 30, 2015
Sampled from a bottle (thanks Jan Magnus) with a Best Before date of 12/3/2014. Despite being past its BB date, this amber ale poured with a hazy copper colour, a healthy white head and a malty nose. The taste is of mild toffee, malt, mild citrus fruits and hay. Very smooth and slightly creamy with a citrusy dry finish. Showing its age, but a real elegant beauty of a beer. (Lervig 10th Anniversary Special) Bottle 330 ml from a trade with gunnar, thanks! Served into a glass tankard, ABV 4.7%
Deep orange colour on the body, quite hazy, with crazy activity in it. Small thin head, mostly white, good retention nevertheless. Spots of lacing around the glass.
Aroma of malts, orange peel, biscuits, cookie dough, light floral.
Taste also malty and sweet, orange cake, biscuit, flowers, hints of spices, quite good. Light bitterness on the aftertaste with orange zest/peel.
Medium body, fizzy carbonation.
Not bad at all, very drinkable.
