Bottle at Brew, Bangkok. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is dry earthy mineral malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry malt hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A nice beer but a little light for a brown ale. Pringao_Toribi (352) - Oviedo, SPAIN - NOV 2, 2014
In short: complex bittersweet beer.
Aroma: Arabic coffee, toffee, resin and floral, and a little alcohol and ¿raisin?
Taste: Medium bitter and medium sweet, little salty.
Palate: full bodied, a little sticky. GlasgowTAD (1768) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - OCT 18, 2014
Smells nutty, taste is weak nuttiness. Look is dark brown. Not very exciting as the body is thin and there is some chemical presence. Slight heartburn involved. k0mpsa (2903) - Tuusula, FINLAND - OCT 2, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown color, white head. Aroma is malty, roasty, sweet notes. Taste is same, pretty nice brown ale. Holmen2 (3567) - NORWAY - SEP 13, 2014
From tap at Kverulantkatedralen 13.09.14. Dark brown. Small beige head. Aroma of hard plastic. Faults from a new tap system??? Toffee, dark malts and liquorice in taste and aftertaste.

Aromas of caramel, chocolate, bread, pilsnermalt. Beer is really nice and dry with flavors of chocolate, toffee, nuts, dark fruits, but not too much coffee, just like a brown ale should be. I am not getting much hops here at all. I dont know what it is, but the beer tastes really mediocre, without being able to put my finger on why. Maybe it’s because of the dryness, i really don’t know. thomat (3828) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2014
Reddish brown with a thick tan head. Malty and roasted tones. malt, coffee, caramel and hops. Medium body with a roasted finish. Cimbasso (888) - - AUG 19, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2015 The colour is a dark reddish brown with an off-white, lacy head. Lots of caramel and roasted malt in the nose, and a sweetish, nutty taste, with a medium bitter finish. A good example of a brown ale and not too strong at 4.7% ABV. Kauge (1928) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 16, 2014
Bottle from K-supermarket at Kamppi, Helsinki (€ 3,99) in August 2014. Pours a dark, slightly reddish (mahagony) brown with a brief beige head. Nose is malty and almondy, bready, very slightly spicy and... soapy (it’s not the glass). A bit chocolaty even. Taste is medium sweet with a fairly bitter, slightly metallic and grainy (not very likable) finish. Bready. Medium body and carbonation. Overall not unpleasant, but lacking all aspects that would make it worth remembering, plus a bit too weak and slightly watery. Would go well with warm almonds coated in sugar and spices, I mean the kind they offer on the streets of Old Tallinn. Toomio (586) - Joensuu, FINLAND - JUN 21, 2014
