A new beer in Lervig Aktiebryggeri’s range "Brewer’s Reserve", the creation of Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. Hops: East Kent Goldings. Recommended serving temperature 10-12 degrees C.

Bottle thanks to Wickedestman. Pours dark brown. Taste of sticky toffee pudding, salt, liquorice, blackberries and bourbon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From notes. Enjoyed at a tasting at Andrew’s house on August 18. 330 mL bottle. The pour is a darker brown with hints of ruby shining through. There is a beautiful thick khaki head that falls to a ring, leaving a couple spots of lave. The aroma is really good. Lots of caramel malts, dark fruits, sweet bourbon, light oak, and vanilla all balance well. The flavor is much of the same. The fruits and caramel are big up front and the light vanilla, small booze, and oak really come together on the back end. This is a big surprise. The mouth feel is a little light and has a softer carbonation. The aftertaste is lingeringly sweet and carries just a hint of booze. This is an excellent barleywine.

Cafe Sara, august 6th 2015. Dark brown body with a light brown head. Aroma is fruity with vanilla and toffee, sweet caramel taste, bourbon and toast, apricot and vanilla. Very light alcohol taste, vineous and malty finish. Nice!

A brown beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, and over ripe fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

De botella. Espuma casi nula.

Dark brown liquid, no head. Strong aroma of bourbon and licorice. Rich mouthfeel. Strong taste of licorice, toffee, caramelmalts and some bourbon. Weird one, but really enjoyable.
