COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged in Makers Mark barrels.
This is our once a year brew of bourbon barrel aged barley wine. It’s aged in Jack Daniels barrels for a year to allow the beer to mellow out and mature. The oak provides a dimension of coconut, vanilla and even a touch of bourbon. Dark red, low carbonation and great depth, this is one of our most special beers.

Malts: Pale malt, Munich, Caramel and roasted malts.
Hops: Perle and Saaz.
Highly complex aroma of vanilla, caramel, molasses, bourbon, malts.
Food pairings: dark chocolate, blue/sharp cheeses.

0.33l bottle: release [email protected]: pours dark brown opaque with foamy light brown/ beige head. Toasted toffee&coconut, milk chocolate, molasses, caramel, vanillin (vanilla note), woody tannins, sone dark fruit esters, slightly spicy, earthy hop profile, almost hidden by bourbon-like alcohol note. Full bodied, smooth texture, moderate carbonation. Great.

Wow, died fruits, sweet, plums, figs and date drawned in alcohol, oak, cocoa, vanilla and coconuts, dark brown with copper reflections and a small ocher head, full body, oily, again so many intense notes of dark fruits and alcohol, some cocoa and coconut, more dry than i expected, very pleasant and warming final...quite outstanding.

hohops (1219) - Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2017
Appearance- dark, mahogany, almost black, no head at all, a few bubbles around the edge. Aroma- lots of bourbon, vanilla, leather, booze, burnt toast hints, malt, rum, more booze, liqueur chocolate, treacle toffee. Big, big aroma. Taste- sweet boozy raisins, fig, dates, Christmas cake, pecan pie, toffee, sticky malt, vanilla, all soaked in bourbon. The bourbon is prominent, but not overpowering. Mouthfeel is sticky and clingy, very sweet finish. Excellent.

BlazerT (1385) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - AUG 3, 2017
Bottle. Sensoric. Dark brown with small, light brown head. Poor head retention and lacing. Heavy malty - caramel, bread, chocolate, vanilla. Sweet, very sweet. Strong accents of bourbon, which nicely plays with all the ingredients. Really decent brew.

Biroholik (1749) - Sosnowiec, Poland, POLAND - JUL 27, 2017
Slody: Pale Ale, monachijski, karmelowy, palony
Chmiele: Perle, Saaz
Data butelkowania: 30.01.2014
Data waznosci: 30.01.2024
Kolor: Ciemnobrazowy, raczej nieprzejrzysty. Na dnie szkla plywa duzo smieciowych pozostalosci (chmieliny? drozdze?)
Piana: Przy pierwszym nalewaniu pojawiala sie niewielka, bezowa, lekka piana. Szybko niestety opadla z glosnym sykiem. Nie pozwolila nacieszyc oka swoim wygladem. Na szkle brak lacingu, ani innych jakichkolwiek pozostalosci po bezowym puchu.
Zapach: Bez najmniejszej watpliwosci w pierwszym kontakcie z piwem pokazuje sie intensywna bourbonowa won. Jest mnóstwo akcentów mokrego drewna, troche likieru jajecznego a’la ajerkoniak i cukierków Kukulek. Odrobine dalej mozna wylapac takie detale jak: karmel, toffi, rodzynki i bombonierka czekoladowa z likierem w srodku. Fajnie, mocno, konkretnie.
Smak: W smaku jest bardzo intensywny bourbon. Daje o sobie znac od pierwszego kontaktu. Piwo ma wiele akcentów mokrego drewna, minimalna wanilie i wiele nut likieru jajecznego.
Pierwsze miejsce to 3 Bean Stout ;) Wyjatkowy Barley Wine. Dla wszystkich lubiacych ten styl pozycja obowiazkowa. Dla mnie wyjatkowa, niezapomniana degustacja.

Lore (3122) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 4, 2017
Hazy brown colour, minimal off-white head, practically only some lacing on the top of the ’beer’; aroma of raisins, dried figs and plum soaked in cognac, plum jam, vanilla, walnut liqueur, herbal notes, whisky, biscuit, and burnt sugar; taste of cherry bonbon made with cognag and dark chocolate, raisins, burnt plum jam, overripe sweet dried figs, walnut cake, vanilla, caramel, herbal liqueur, whisky, oak barrel and slight acetone notes; spicy alcoholic aftertaste; I’m fully amazed and have completely and desperately fallen in love!
