En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Shared with Marko, ogivlado and franski. Dark brown to black colored, small+ tan creamy head. Aroma is of strong oatmeal, chocolate, some roasted notes and caramel. Taste is medium sweet chocolate, some dried fruits, strong oatmeal notes, bit nutty, roasted malt, dry medium+ dark chocolate bitterness, lasting aftertaste. Full to medium bodied, creamy, soft carbonation. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Thanks kajser! Shared with him, ogivlado and franski. Very dark brown, cola-tinged near the bottom, grayish beige head, thick white head. Dry malty aroma, heavy in a good way, more dogfood than chocolate though, light alcohol. Soft, silky taste, too subtle. malt, solid alcohol presence, fresh minty herbal notes, vaguely perfumey malty (?!) note. The aftertaste is way more prominent than the actual taste itself, roasty, fine, solid. Warming. All in all... a disappointment for me.

Color negro opaco, espuma color marrón con buena retencion; aroma maltas tostadas, café, toffe. Sabor cacao, café ,dulce, amargor bajo; cuerpo medio-lleno, carbonatacion media.

Old rating rerated 27.02.2016, tap @ Kontoret:
Small brown shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, licorice, minerals, hay, coffee, alcohol. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, burnt grain, dark malts, grass, alcohol, burnt caramel, coffee, licorice. Medium bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Fair enough, used to be better before. And it also seems a bit raw, I’d prefer aging it for a few years.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate, mocha, roasted malts, coffee and hops.

Opaque black beer with a slight/medium brown/dark brown head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, chocolate and mocha; ends slightly bitter with roasted malts, coffee and hops.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Perfectly crafted beer with all the flavours in harmony and even some hops at the end. Could have benefited from some real coffee. The aroma could have been stronger as well.

Tasted from the tap on the 08/02/2016. Almost black colour with some head retention. Quite dry and alcoholic. Next one please!

0.33 bottle. Black in color with a small, brownish head. Aroma of dark malts, some wood, delicate roast - overall quite a subtle fragrance. Taste is sweet, malty, licorice, and delicate fruits. A full body, a creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is long, consummate, balanced, sweet and sour. Overall a very good beer - chosen at random due to my name with no expectations. A heft surprise.

Draft @ BBP, Norwegian brewers tap takeover.
