COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Bouteille 33 cl.

330mL bottle from Beer Cartel. BB 04/01/20 Pitch black pour, holds a small dense tan ring. Really roasty/dark toasty aroma - burnt grains, baked oat (biscuits), roast nuts, touch of earthy, spicy hop. Lovely mouthfeel - oily, clingy, rich, silky, very full, lovely persistence. Best describe it as a supercharged oatmeal stout - get that brown toasted cereal/porridge character front and centre, milk chocolate, licorice, some dark/dried fruit & earthy hop spice. Drying finish, touch of booze, reasonable bitterness. Doesn't feel as big as it should, sort of a bit not quite big enough overall.

33cl bottle on 1-Sep-2017 picked up at Oedipus Brewing, Amsterdam. Close to black in colour with a small beige coloured head which dissipated quickly. Aroma of berries, roasted malt and coffee. Full body and soft/medium carbonation. Taste of dark berry fruits, dark chocolate and malt. Bittersweet rich and fruity finish - slightly tart. Lovely stout.

Backlog. Bottle at home. Pours black with a small tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa and a shitload of dark fruits, berries, plum, light cherry. Leather, slightly sour. Pleasantly fruity, bit of a dry finish.

Pours black, big fast disappearing browna head. Cocoa, pralines, chcoloate, lots of fruits, cherrie, plum. Sour, fruity, medium body, not so heavy. Could be more complex

Bottle: Literally black, medium-sized and quite quickly collapsing tanned head; moderate to solid bitter-sourish nose of toasted malt, leather and dried berries, light traces of any sweet malt underneath; almost solid bitter-sweet flavour with - again - a certain acidity, full bodied - what else;; lingering bitter-sourish and leathery finish, balancing sweet dark malt and toasted malt well detectable. Good, no doubt...

Zdradziecko pijalne, pyszne piwo.

Piana średnia, nietrwała, szybko opada do niewielkiej chmurki. Barwa czarna z brązowymi refleksami. Aromat czekoladowy, kakaowy, truflowy, kawowy.
