Konrads Stout is a new beer in the Brewers Reserve range, from Lervigs head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Bottle at home. Deep brown, almost black colour, brown head disscipates fast. Nose is light roastedness. Taste is strong cocoa, light earth. Medium alcoholic warmth. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Could be a little bit more full bodied, feels like i had a shot.

Black beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: peated, smoky, roasted, charcoal, dark caramel, cocoa powder, coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter, roasted, alcohol, sweet, some charcoal, bit hoppy, bitter touch. Aftertaste: roasted, coffee, bit sourish, lacking some complexity.

Weak aroma, nice dry roast coffee palate, slight taste of alcohol. Easy to drink for an imperial stout. Russian imp stouts are usually smoky but theres none of that here.

More chocolate, dry cacao, dar roast coffee, dar, toasted, slightly burnt malts, coffee, soft carbonation, full bodied. Nice Impy, but not quite as balanced and complex as maybe Id wished for. Bottle at psbh
dense peaty brown-blwck with deep tan head collapsing to lacing. Unctuous, rich, thick, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, warming without being boozy, fairly high residual sweetness. Low carbonation, nice balancing toasty bitterness, cake, cocoa, touch of cola and tobacco. Excellent nightcap

Sampled at ACBF 2017. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours black, no real head. Smell is weak, some burnt malts. Taste is roasted, sweet, thick, burnt malts. Bit bitter, nice and thick impy, yet perhaps not specificaly memorable.

Botella. Color negro opaco. Poca espuma. Fantstica.

At ACBF. Lightly lacing, yellowish beige, medium thick head over an opaque black beer. Aroma of walnuts, bitter unsugared chocolate, dry tree leaves, old raisins, black tea, pear syrup, butterscotch. Candied date sweetness and some dried meat-like umami in the mouth, soft carbonation, nutty and toffeeish malt body, thick and viscous but not overly heavy and still highly drinkable also thanks to the velvety effect of the oatmeal; toasted and bitter chocolatey malt finish with herbal, almost tea-ish and lightly piney hop bitterness and long, warm, gin-like alcohol. Accomplished enough but nothing compared to that 3 Bean stout tasted just before it.
