COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

This double IPA is copper colored and bitter, but balanced by the malty flavors. The 20% rye malt gives this beer a nice bite which helps bring the massive hops together.
Malts: pale malt, caramel malts, rye malt, oats. Hops: Simcoe, Chinook, Amarillo. Aroma: piney, resinous hops, with notes of fresh fruit, spice and caramel malt. Food pairings: salty and fried foods, grilled red meat and Indian curry.

Editor’s note: First served on tap at 7.7% ABV.

Nice hoppy aroma. Pours with a minimal white head. The taste is dominated by the bitterness and then is the alcohol present together with the hops which tastes of grass and tropical fruits. I would like more hops in this one because it feels a bit flat and unbalanced.

It pours a golden amber colored body. It’s a little cloudy with an off-white head. The aroma is very fruity. Grapefruit and citrus followed by hops. It smells delicious! The mouthfeel is really light, but the taste is amazing. You get a rush of sweet fruit at first, and then the hops hit you smack in the face. While the fruityness goes away kinda quickly, the bitterness from the hops and the rye just lingers. It’s suprisingly easy drinking for an 8.5 ABV beer - well carbonated too.

Közepes, tartós hab, narancssárga szín. Déligyümölcsös, citrusos illat. Íze citrusos, déligyümölcsös, kissé szúrós. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, erősen keserű. Jól eltalált rozsos IPA.

Bottle at home. Hazy yellow colour, with medium sized chunks. Nose is fruity hops, with faint honey (bottled 11 months ago). Taste is medium high bitterness. No hoppy notes. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Low carbonation. Mediocre...

Bottle. Hazy orange with medium floffy to -creamy head, good lacing. Aroma; resin, rye, flowers, caramel. Taste of caramel, spice, grapefruit. Medium bitter ending. I would have liked some more fruit dominance in this one.

330ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange color forming a medium and very creamy off white head with medium retention and tons of lingering lacings formed and left in the glass. Nose is very flowery and fruity. Strong notes of caramel and some sweet notes of rye. Mango, grapefruit and papaya. Pine and resin. Slightly sweet upfront taste that becomes quickly bitter. Notes of caramel and grapefruit. Grassy and piney. Hints of pineapple. Body is heavy, creamy and molasses. Traditional rya IPA body. Medium carbonation. Tropical fruits and caramel in the aftertaste. Great drinkability. Great IIPA.
