33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 14.08.2016
Aroma is malty with lots of toffee and hints of berries. Also some vanilla and baking stuff. Flavour has raspberries, some toffee, malty notes and caramel. Some fruity hops occur after a sip. Also some yeasty and worty notes at the middle of the glass. Quite odd and somewhat messy, but for some reason I seem to enjoy this.
(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 14.08.16, from Alko, 20131108) The beer poured brown. quite clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel, treacle and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, caramel, sweetness, hint of hops and low bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, sweet and bitter. The strong malty body is a sign for aging potential and aging may tune down the sweetness which was a bit too intense now. Hermod (8349) - Vantaa, FINLAND - NOV 8, 2013
33cl bottle. Bb 14.06.16. Copper color, thin white head. Caramel, raisins, sticky boozy notes in aroma. Raisins, malt, sweet bready notes in flavor. Quite boozy taste as well. Way too much alcohol coming through to be enjoyable. As an English strong ale this is a disappointment for sure. lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 8, 2013

Pours a dark amber orange colour with a small head. Aroma of rum, raisins, orange zest and sugary sweetness. Rather rich flavour of sweet raisins, quite subtle alcohol notes, orange zest, spices and plums. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and low-ish carbonation. Alcohol warms nicely. This would work quite nicely as a dessert beer.
(Bottled) Almost clear, dark copper-brown with a smallish, quickly descending head. Strong aroma of raisins and plums with caramely maltiness and burned sugar. Flavor is caramely and dark-fruity with raisins and lightly roasted, but mostly syrupy maltiness. Low bitterness. Quite full-bodied with low and soft CO2. A very smooth and warming brew with lots in common with Belgian dubbels and quads. It’s missing the crucial yeast part, though, but definitely worth a try. 6237 StilleStorm (1579) - Stavanger, NORWAY - OCT 11, 2013
