Bottle @ J & C US Tasting, Ulfborg 2011. Thanks Yngwie. Pours amber with a small creamy white head.Nose is spices, yeast and dark fruit. Raisins and gløgg. Sweet and cloying. Alcohol, dark fruit and syrup. Well made - though not my style of beer! Scopey (15476) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2011
Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours hazy red-brown with a thin off-white head and low carbonation. The nose is brown bread, brown sugar, earth and sweet caramel. The taste is brown sugar, light spice, ginger, clove, earth, caramel and raisin, with sweet caramel finish. Alcohol is well hidden, yet the beer is surprisingly thin. Not bad. gunnfryd (15175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 23, 2011

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks avrashi. Murky brown. Aroma of malt, sherry, raisins, a bit of cardboard and a bit of chocolate notes. Sweet malty flavor with caramel, chocolate, some dark fruits notes and oxidation. Finishes drier. Medium-bodied. Not so fun.

Odense Catching Up on Stuff Left in the Cellar Event July 2012. Brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee and dried fruit, with a touch of vineous alcohol. Sweetish malty flavour with plenty alcohol Rune (13380) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 17, 2011
It’s still winter with a lot of snow in the extreme north where I live, so a warming winter beer seems just appropriate on a Saturday eve. 330ml bottle, bb.31.09.15, bought at Vinmonopolet Oslo City. Pours a cloudy, apricot coloured body topped by firm amount of beige, foam that stays well and leaves fragile lacing at the glassware. Smell of sweet malts and dried fruits. Plums and raisin in flavour together with earthy malts followed by a ending containing lighter notes of yeasty fruitiness along with alcohol warmth. Well bodied, but aroma and flavour feels rather subdued (Tromsø, 16.04.2011). thewolf (12755) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 5, 2012

Flavour has light coffee, sweet caramel malts that are lightly toasted. Raisins, warming viniousness. Chocolate and light but firm piney bitterness in the end.

clear amber, smooth beige head.
very nice hoppy , dry malty and caramelly aroma. slightly spicy.
flavor is malty, caramelly,dry.. faint spices, the dryness and the hops play very well together, Very tasty dry malty beer. Hops go a long way towards handling the quite sweet malty flavor. alc. well hidden and matches the beer well.
