COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fyldig, rik smak fra ristede karamellmalter, utsøkt britisk humle og rosiner - ingredienser som sammen med vann og gjær også skaper den rødlige gløden og det gyldne skummet. Fyr i peisen, rull ut bjørneskinnet, hell i glasset. La Lervig Winter Ale med sine 8,3 alkoholprosenter varme opp vinterkvelden.

lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 8, 2013
330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark amber orange colour with a small head. Aroma of rum, raisins, orange zest and sugary sweetness. Rather rich flavour of sweet raisins, quite subtle alcohol notes, orange zest, spices and plums. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and low-ish carbonation. Alcohol warms nicely. This would work quite nicely as a dessert beer.

Hermod (7695) - Vantaa, FINLAND - NOV 8, 2013
33cl bottle. Bb 14.06.16. Copper color, thin white head. Caramel, raisins, sticky boozy notes in aroma. Raisins, malt, sweet bready notes in flavor. Quite boozy taste as well. Way too much alcohol coming through to be enjoyable. As an English strong ale this is a disappointment for sure.

Marduk (7598) - Reval, ESTONIA - DEC 5, 2013
330ml bottle. Dark copper color. Small size, white head, stays. Smells woody and sour. Tastes like Belle Vue Kriek mixed with some shitty macro. And I’m totally aware that it’s not a good thing to say to any beer.

jonas (7549) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - APR 25, 2013
Sampled at Bar Animale, Madrid. Dry wooden, somewhat wooden strong ale notes. Medium to light body. Aromatic fruity finish. Surprisingly light beer, dangerous

Finn (7513) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 4, 2011
Flaske 0,33l - gave fra Rune. Takker! Gyldenbrun / amber. Høyt svakt farget skum som starter høyt men flater ut i løpet av et par minutter. Forsiktig maltaroma med fruktige undertoner. God. Smaken litt sherryaktig men alkoholen slår inn etterhvert og overtar. Tørr fruktig ettersmak. Litt uvariert - men en god "winter warmer". Dette burde vi ha mer av på våre breddegrader.

larsga (7509) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 14, 2011
Medium beige head. Lovely deep reddish amber body with carbonation. Sugary raisiny caramelly aroma with earthy fruity notes. Dry-sweet earthy roasty papery taste with caramelly raisiny notes. Mid-to-full body. Dry-sweet soy sauce and raisins aftertaste with earthy spicy buttery notes. Very nice, and quite unusual. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly.)

Sigmund (7390) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 14, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2010 Rerate, 330 ml bottle, ABV 8.3%, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger: Copper colour, big to moderate cream-coloured head. Malty aroma with strong notes of raisins and other dark fruits, brown candi sugar and treacle. Warming mouthfeel. Flavour of dark dried fruits, brown sugar, malts and alcohol. Moderate but noticeable hops in the finish. Original rating: On tap at Cardinal’s Juleølsymposium. Matured with raisins. Dark brown colour, moderate head. Aroma of brown malts, brown sugar and raisins. The flavour has the same elements, but is not too sweet. Moderate hops, very drinkable.
