COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fyldig, rik smak fra ristede karamellmalter, utsøkt britisk humle og rosiner - ingredienser som sammen med vann og gjær også skaper den rødlige gløden og det gyldne skummet. Fyr i peisen, rull ut bjørneskinnet, hell i glasset. La Lervig Winter Ale med sine 8,3 alkoholprosenter varme opp vinterkvelden.

ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 24, 2011
Bottle. Deep amber body with a small, quickly disappearing off-white head. Nose is caramel, raisins, booze and a bit of bread yeast, which I find kinda strange. Taste is strong notes of caramel, with some tones of burnt sugar, roasted malts, alcohol and hints of raisins. Smooth mouthfeel. Burnt sugar again in the aftertaste, flanked by some boozy notes. Well integrated flavor profile, if not too overtly exciting all in all. A nice winter warmer, and a pretty drinkable - and likable - beer. Best one from Lervig that I’ve had so far.

330ml bottle courtesy of Rune - hazy brown ale, roasted caramel malt and alcohol aroma, small creamy tan head, sweet, malty, alcohol flavour, carbonation on the low side, bitter aftertaste

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours dark amber with a tiny light brown head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, roasted malt, alcohol and spices. Sweet and fruity with lots of raisins and some spices. Slightly bitter finish. Reminds me a bit about gløgg. Anyway it’s a nice winter warmer. (BF310915)

Backlog last year. Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Malty aromas, sweetness in taste. Full body & high complexity Pretty good

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Slightly hazy mahogany brown color. Aromas of raisins, caramel and toffee. Bittersweet flavor with raisins, figs and dark caramel. Oily palate with stingy sharp alcohol. Medium to full body. Alcohol sharpness is dominating and it is hard to enjoy this beer.

330ml bottle from Rune. Hazy medium brown colour, good head. Fruity caramel malt aroma. Sour malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Not really my thing.

0.33l bottle. Dark nut brown body with a nice fading, off-white head. Aromas are yeasty, caramel and and prunes. Its sweetish, definitely some dark caramel, also a nice alcohol sting that combined with the lively carbonation gives a little kick. Yeah, I like this. Nice and mildly bitter lasting finish.

0.33L bottle from bestillingsutvalget, Vinmonopolet. Two fingers of fully diminishing beige head. Body is brownish red with good clarity. Modest aroma of nutty malts and dusty hops, along with a vague smell of caramel, dark bread and raisins. Lightly sweet, toasted, medium strong malt body. Some dark dried fruits. Sparesly hopped. Notes of higher alcohols. Light astringent mouthfeel. A certain acidulous fruitiness in a short ending. Drinks ok, but a bit unrefined.
