33cl bottle, takk Palme! (EU Swap-II). Nice balance between mild raisin/malt roast, none too sweet caramel, nor too heavy; raisin fruitiness, winter spice made palatable by the use of a perfectly attenuated yeast = dry, old ale palate. Almost rolled out the bear skin - very well done!

Tap at Cardinal. Hazy copper with a two finger thick creamy light brown head leaving a fair lacing. Candy, caramel aroma with distinct fruity tones on the nose. Herbs, candy sweat, leather and tobacco released in the mouth with acidic and salty flavors. Astringent with a dryish finish. Medium carbonation. Feel a bit raw and sharp on the edges.

Taste of medium dark malt, prunes, dates, rasins, dark caramel, honey and brittle, balanced with medium bitterness. A hint of herbs in aftertaste. Still not too sweet, and with good drinkability.
