COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fyldig, rik smak fra ristede karamellmalter, utsøkt britisk humle og rosiner - ingredienser som sammen med vann og gjær også skaper den rødlige gløden og det gyldne skummet. Fyr i peisen, rull ut bjørneskinnet, hell i glasset. La Lervig Winter Ale med sine 8,3 alkoholprosenter varme opp vinterkvelden.

Pours dark brown with a small white head that recedes quickly. Murky. Nose is caramel, nutmeg, pumpkin, ginger and leather. Taste is underwhelming. Not as sharp as the nose would imply. However. It is sweet with a decent bitter presence. Mouthfeel is soft, smooth and creamy. Light body and great finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very enjoyable. Winterish, intensive caramels, raisins. Very sweet and well ballanced. Although a bit too sticky and aroma wasn’t as great as taste, very nice brew!

Bottle shared with Daje. Deep red, thin white head. Smells of raisins, nuts, ’fusel’ and honey. Taste is sweet and dry. Much malt flavor. Reminds me of danish pastry with macrone fill. Feel is a bit thick and sweetish. Some bitterness in finish. This is an excelent companion when sitting by the fire-

bottle from ølbutikken clear amber, smooth beige head. very nice hoppy , dry malty and caramelly aroma. slightly spicy. flavor is malty, caramelly,dry.. faint spices, the dryness and the hops play very well together, Very tasty dry malty beer. Hops go a long way towards handling the quite sweet malty flavor. alc. well hidden and matches the beer well.

Was waiting to try this one again, tried it in december and remembered that it was very good. Aroma of dried fruit, especially raisins. Caramel, nuts and some chocolate is also in there. Aftertaste is quite sweet with good tones of raisins. This is a really good christmas ale, looking farward to the next batch when christmas is approaching.

33cl bottle, takk Palme! (EU Swap-II). Nice balance between mild raisin/malt roast, none too sweet caramel, nor too heavy; raisin fruitiness, winter spice made palatable by the use of a perfectly attenuated yeast = dry, old ale palate. Almost rolled out the bear skin - very well done!
