COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fyldig, rik smak fra ristede karamellmalter, utsøkt britisk humle og rosiner - ingredienser som sammen med vann og gjær også skaper den rødlige gløden og det gyldne skummet. Fyr i peisen, rull ut bjørneskinnet, hell i glasset. La Lervig Winter Ale med sine 8,3 alkoholprosenter varme opp vinterkvelden.

Sampled at Bar Animale, Madrid. Dry wooden, somewhat wooden strong ale notes. Medium to light body. Aromatic fruity finish. Surprisingly light beer, dangerous

Smells good and taste good. I find this beer a little yeasty with nice taste of caramel and raisins. Some bitterness.

Bottle from Vinspecialisten, Randers. Unclear reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and lots of dried fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with hints of warming alcohol. Soft. 081214

Kauge (1976) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 26, 2015
Bottle. BB 14.08.16. Pours a rusty, murky brownish amber with small, fast receding head. The nose is sweet, soft, warm, caramelly, toffee-y, slightly boozy. Tastes along the same lines, reminiscent of Fuller’s Vintage Ale, but a bit lesser than that. Sweet, full, warm, caramelly. Pretty soft and smooth, active thin carbonation. Not bad, in fact pretty nice.

Bottle (from Koht). Pours copper with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is sweet, malt, caramel, fruits, dates. Falvor is sweet and bitter, malt, caramel, dates. Finish is dry bitter with some fruityness. Alcohol is noticeable. Overall: good brew, but a bit too boozy.

ALIBALI (2201) - Kiel, GERMANY - DEC 9, 2016
Hossa. 0,33/3,80Euro. BEYOND BEER HH. Bottle.

330 ml bottle. Clear copper body with a fine, creamy beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, brown sugar and dry fruit with just a little hint of alcohol. Flavor of sweet malt, but not as sweet as expected from aroma, in fine balance with the bitterness and alcohol. Also caramel, candy sugar, dry fruit with a bitterness that becomes more obvious in the aftertaste. Long aftertaste with more bitterness and warming alcohol. It a fine beer, not perfect but Lervig is definitively into something here.

0.33l bottle. Dark nut brown body with a nice fading, off-white head. Aromas are yeasty, caramel and and prunes. Its sweetish, definitely some dark caramel, also a nice alcohol sting that combined with the lively carbonation gives a little kick. Yeah, I like this. Nice and mildly bitter lasting finish.
