Dark amber/ reddish color, good foam.
Medium/ high intensity of red fruit, some malt, notes of choclate- nice yeast influence .
Medium body & high complexity.
Some sweetness , well balanced with good bitterness- also very good sourness.
Very enjoyable christmas beer, ( we should all be Belgian)

On tap at Amundsen, as Lervig Grand Cru. january 5th 2013. Deep ruby body, looks like a thick fluid, good light brown head. Aroma has lots of fruit and red berries, also a malty backbone and spicy yeast notes I think. Taste is sour and yeasty at first, before it’s balanced bit by sweet fruit and sugar. Together with the fruit comes a herbal taste that domintes the aftertaste together with a warm alcohol taste. One to admire from Lervig! nilsas (4301) - Bryne, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2013
Duft av malt og urter. Dyp sort farge. Tynt kremet skum. God smak av vørter og kirsebær. Leighton (21813) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2013
Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Day 2, Session 2. As ’Lervig Grand Cru’. Pours clear, red-brown with a creamy tan head. Belgian yeast on the nose with toasty and doughy bread and light chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with semi-ripe fruits and mellow, tangy berries. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth in the finish with rich, sugary ripe fruits. Very nice.

On tap at Cardinal. Dark brown with a creamy beige head. Sour fruit and chocolate nose and flavours. Some spiciness. Quite accomplished without appearing too extreme. Dangerously drinkable. yngwie (17101) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 22, 2012
On tap at Cardinal. It pours a small, light beige head over a black body. At least very dark brown. It is lightly sourish on the nose, with figs, dark berries, notes of coffee and chocolate and something more on the mocha side. It’s soft on the palate, lightly tart, pleasantly carbonated and medium to full bodied. Dried fruits, roasted malts, bitter chocolate and some herbal notes in the flavour. After a while it’s certainly more on the spiced side than the herbal side. Lightly metallic on the end. A really pleasant one, well suited for a sour ale newbie. And for the seasoned veteran. 121022 KnutAlbert (6758) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 28, 2012
Very dark ruby, fluffy head. Fruity, with a rather mild edge of vinegar. Funky, the flavour grows as the beer gets a little warmer. Barnyard, redcurrants, some minty hops. Plenty of sugar.
I like my wild ales a bit wilder, but this is a fine tipple. gunnfryd (15093) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 26, 2013
