Big sample at "øl og kultur" in Stavanger, some of the last litres there are left of this beer, as it’s empty at Cardinal. Pours a hazy orange colour with a tiny white head. Aroma of elderberry and different other herbs, some light malt notes and caramel. Flavour is quite balanced, with elderberry and jupiner as the main tastes. A bit thin palate. Medium offwhite head. Buttery camomile and soap aroma with fruity notes. Very interesting and unusual aroma. Neither dry nor sweet, fruity lavender and coriander taste with piles of herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth, slick mouthfeel. Dryish buttery lavender and dandelion aftertaste. Nice, drinkable, and unusual. Well balanced, and very harmonic. (0.33l draft, shared with gr0ve.) Fra fat på Cardinal: et annerledes og meget spennendeøl, proppfullt av ulike urter satt sammen på en balansert måte som gjør dette ølet til en god smaksopplevelse. Fornuftig vitamininnhold som gjør at du trygt kan ta én til. Og det gjorde jeg med glede. On tap at Cardinal. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is herbs, fruit, caramel. Flavour is sweet, caramel, herbs, caramel, malt. Nice beer.

On tap @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours orange, with a small, creamy and slightly coloured head. Aroma is roasted malts, flowery hops and sweet herbs. On tap at Cardinal. It pours a lighlty hazy, amber body and a small, firm, off-white head leaving lacings. Very herbal nose with sweet gale dominating. Oregano, thyme and a maltyness too. Full body, pleasant carbonation and sufficiently dry on the palate. Malty sweetness, a touch of caramel and of course quite a lot of herbal flavors. Almost clear amber with moderate off-white head. Nice spicy/herbal dominating aroma with some malt and a hint of caramel. Flavor is mild malty with a dry bitterness, almost a bit like the bitterness that comes from spices like cinnamon or cardamom without this being a part of the flavor. The flavor is as aroma dominated by a herbal mixture without any particular type herb sticking out. It’s actually difficult to detect any specify herbs, they are so perfectly balanced and integrated all together. I could swear to recognize rosemary, but was told this is not one of the seven herbs. Sage is recognized after I’ve been told this is present and at the same time I’m not capable to identify any juniper. Never mind, this tastes superb and are probably the best herbal/spice beer I have tasted so far. Hope to see this again sometimes.
On tap at Cardinal. Pours a misty orange body with a short lived off-white head that lives on as a film leaving good lacing. Elderflower, sage, raspberry bush, light malts and plenty of herbal notes goong on in the aroma. Medium bodied it drinks equally herbal and smooth. Sage, oregano and a dusty cellar hint. A light salty presence. The finish is long and malty with herbs abundant.the bitterness leaves the tongue dry.
