On tap at Cardinal. Pours a misty orange body with a short lived off-white head that lives on as a film leaving good lacing. Elderflower, sage, raspberry bush, light malts and plenty of herbal notes goong on in the aroma. Medium bodied it drinks equally herbal and smooth. Sage, oregano and a dusty cellar hint. A light salty presence. The finish is long and malty with herbs abundant.the bitterness leaves the tongue dry. Beer5000 (6489) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 6, 2012

Almost clear amber with moderate off-white head. Nice spicy/herbal dominating aroma with some malt and a hint of caramel. Flavor is mild malty with a dry bitterness, almost a bit like the bitterness that comes from spices like cinnamon or cardamom without this being a part of the flavor. The flavor is as aroma dominated by a herbal mixture without any particular type herb sticking out. It’s actually difficult to detect any specify herbs, they are so perfectly balanced and integrated all together. I could swear to recognize rosemary, but was told this is not one of the seven herbs. Sage is recognized after I’ve been told this is present and at the same time I’m not capable to identify any juniper. Never mind, this tastes superb and are probably the best herbal/spice beer I have tasted so far. Hope to see this again sometimes.
On tap @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy pale amber in color. Small head with little retention. Aromas full of herbs, Sweet Gale in the high seat. Some flavor of thyme or rosemary? Medium body. Nice bitterness.
On a personal note; I’m experiencing a growing fondness for these herb-ales. I like to call it extreme Norwegian brewing, where it’s used herbs growing in the Norwegian nature.
All in all. I liked it! Leave all your "images of beer" at home and enjoy this. For home brewers, let it inspire you... larsga (7540) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 12, 2012
Medium offwhite head. Buttery camomile and soap aroma with fruity notes. Very interesting and unusual aroma. Neither dry nor sweet, fruity lavender and coriander taste with piles of herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth, slick mouthfeel. Dryish buttery lavender and dandelion aftertaste. Nice, drinkable, and unusual. Well balanced, and very harmonic. (0.33l draft, shared with gr0ve.)

On tap at Cardinal 14.3.2012. Looking forward to this one, this beer was presented by the creator Sigmund at Cardinal. Poured hazy amber/golden with a small white head. Initially it was hard to detect any aroma, but as the beer warms up, the picture changes; a solid malty body, a herbal mixture with honeyish sweetness floating on top, spicy and herbal. Taste also evolves from the first sip, this beer must be well temperated to hit the sweet spot for me, lots of spices and herbs in the taste, think i can recognize some yarrow, but it is well integrated, ends more on the bitter side, herbal bitter with some woody notes. Moderate sticky mouthfeel. Nothing too extreme about this beer, but well integrated vitamins, probably healthier than all those vitamin pills.

On tap at Cardinal. It pours a lighlty hazy, amber body and a small, firm, off-white head leaving lacings. Very herbal nose with sweet gale dominating. Oregano, thyme and a maltyness too. Full body, pleasant carbonation and sufficiently dry on the palate. Malty sweetness, a touch of caramel and of course quite a lot of herbal flavors. A pleasant and tasteful herbal beer. 120626 Bathory (458) - Kverneland, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2013
Big sample at "øl og kultur" in Stavanger, some of the last litres there are left of this beer, as it’s empty at Cardinal. Pours a hazy orange colour with a tiny white head. Aroma of elderberry and different other herbs, some light malt notes and caramel. Flavour is quite balanced, with elderberry and jupiner as the main tastes. A bit thin palate. Overall a very enjoyable beer for a herb-beer. HoppyBudgie (833) - SOLA, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2013
