Et middels fyldig øl med frisk og fruktig smak. Maltsødmen balanserer bitterheten fra humlen og gir ølet en rund og frodig karakter. Hoppy times.

Pours a cloudy brown with clean white head and some lacing. Aroma is promising, dark caramel, pine, marmelade, lemon peel and molasses. Taste is sweet with some bitterness at the end. A touch thin, but it’s under 5%, so that’s understandable. Enjoyed this one, nice session strength red, particularly the aroma.

Another overhopped red ale. The style has been lost. Lack of malt to back it up for a red. Breakfast club London. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2016 Can. Nose is lightly tropical, malt, fruit, yeast. Taste is fruity, malt, leading to a tropical hop finish. Very light smoke in and Coco powder in the finish which is a regrettable choice. Drinkable but forgettable. The brewer seems to have lost its way a bit

Bottle, Freemasons Arms, Market Harborough. Nutty brown with a thin head. Nutty toffee and biscuit malts. Lemon with pine. Quite zesty. Pretty good.

Beer at home for dinner, 33 bottle. Beer pours red, brownish, with little foam. Aroma is not much, maybe it’s mostly give away (bottle has expired), but reminds of resinous and herbaceous. Taste confirms herbaceous, with moderate sweetness and bitterness. No specific aftertaste, relatively dry. Enjoyable.

Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Nose of light stewed stone fruit, something slightly tropical, caramel, earthy, with piney hop. Cloudy amber/orange color. Mild roast with a healthy dose of mid-palate hopping. Thin body, a bit watery. Okay. Flavors sort of die after mid palate. Has the right stuff, but doesn’t really come together.

Aroma: pretty fresh, floral and hoppy, unlike most ambers; Appearance: medium amber with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: follows nose with nice malty backbone; Palate: medium body with medium finish; Overall: much more like an apa than an amber, making it one of the better ambers I’ve had.
