Clear dark mahogany, bit ruby, practically no head and minimal lacing just foggy residues. Medium strong aroma is sweet and malty, dark bread, suryp, nuts, raisins, some wood notes. Light, bit watery, medium carbonation, semidry, medium long finish is malty and dries bit. Just ok, bit thin in body and soul.

tmrmwel (2204) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2015
Can. Pours very dark brown, with a big creamy creamy off white head. Aroma is roasted malts with rye bread, coffee and nuts, as well as notes of cocoa and leather. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with bread, caramel, and coffee, as well as burned sugar, toffee and notes of leather and earth. Uncontroversial Norwegian Juleøl, and a nice one at that. Balanced, smooth and quaffable.
