Bottle bought at Vinmonpolet, tasted at home. Pours dark amber to copper, cloudy. Aroma of clover, cinnamon, ginger, anis, caramel, dried fruits, plums. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel, distinct bitter finish. A real Christmas beer with an upfront herb and fruit aroma finishing as a brown ale. Beertobealive (596) - Courbevoie, FRANCE - OCT 28, 2014
Beigish head with bad rotten cereals. Clear brown body. Round taste but still cereals.

Bottle at bar. Dark brown color, beige head. Bittersweet taste with ripe fruits, malts, cinnamon, cookie dough, liquorice and syrup. Bittersweet finish with liquorice and citrus. Very nice seasonal brew. sheep (93) - FINLAND - DEC 22, 2012
330ml bottle, best before 02/10/13. Pours murky deep mahogany with a small, shortlived khaki head. Aroma is nutty, caramel, dark bread, some roast. Dark malts dominate the flavor, slightly musty, earthy hops, slight metallic note in the finish. Palate is light with medium to high carbonation. A bit boring. On tap @ Henrik. This is a clear deep dark ruby-brown one with a nice medium sized creamy off-white top. On the nose this is has lots of cloves! It’s disturbingly dominating actually, but there are also other stuff like soft licorice, star anise and dried flowers. It’s almost like nosing my mothers Christmas cloves decorations, and the taste is even more cloves dominating! Like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. Lightly on the sweet side, white pepper-spicy and a bit nutty-herbal also. Averagely carbonated with a soft oily mouthfeel. A strange and really different Christmas brew. 02.11.2012 gunnar (10224) - Sandnes, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2011
33 cl bottle at home. Pours a nice dark chestnut brown body with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with some light acidic notes. Taste is moderate sweet malts, with some spicy notes. Not a winner for me.
