Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste. But we decided to go one step further and actually make it the perfect summer beer. Beginning this spring (2016), we’re adding grapefruit juice to some of our Lucky Jack tanks. Now you can have all the flavour of Lucky Jack with a twist: a perfect medley of citrus from the addition of grapefruit juice. It’s beautifully refershing on a hot summer day on the deck or at the beach.

Malts: Pilsner and Caramel.
Hops. Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook.

Aroma: grapfruit and citrus.

Food pairings: BBQ chicken and ribs, tortillas and guachamole, fresh fruit salad.Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway.

Tap at Cirkus Bar, stavanger. One of the best apa’s out there. Great hoppy aroma and taste, nice bitter aftertaste! A beer I always go back to after tasting other Apa’s.

4.7%ABV. American Pale Ale. Tapped out a gold Amber. 8ºSRM. Nose has some acetic, lemon zest type aromas and on first blush remiscent of a saison. Some citrus brightness in the nose. Mouthfeel is soapy. There are some nice pale malt and wheat flavors with water biscuit, dough, flour hamburger buns. Hops are pronounced, with some pine, resin and sappy flavors. Finish is medium and clean.

Clear pale golden body with a white head.
Very hoppy aroma with pine and fruit.
Rather dry and bitter taste, with a fair amount of hoppy flavours. The malt is somewhere in the background. Bitter and hoppy finish.
Light body with average carbonation.

This is all about the hops, and Lervig have done well on that account. I do prefer my pale ales less dry/more malty than this, but it is still very tasty.

Aroma of tropical fruits, raisins, limesorbet, cloroform and olive oil. Taste like citrus, soap, caramel, cereal and grapefruit. Great refreashing hoppyness, and a good drinkable beer that tastes great on the top of any mountain.
