Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste. But we decided to go one step further and actually make it the perfect summer beer. Beginning this spring (2016), we’re adding grapefruit juice to some of our Lucky Jack tanks. Now you can have all the flavour of Lucky Jack with a twist: a perfect medley of citrus from the addition of grapefruit juice. It’s beautifully refershing on a hot summer day on the deck or at the beach.

Malts: Pilsner and Caramel.
Hops. Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook.

Aroma: grapfruit and citrus.

Food pairings: BBQ chicken and ribs, tortillas and guachamole, fresh fruit salad.Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway.

Bottle, The Hop Beer Shop, Chelmsford, 12th June 2015 Nice white lacing. Golden appearance. Aroma is old socks, fruity yeast esters. I think it has a yeast issue. Unfortunately no batch reference. Taste is mangos, grapefruit, some tutti-fruity and slight lime. Bitterness Is good.

One hell of an pale ale. To have an ABV of only 4.5 %. Full of real nice aromas, and the taste. Well, you just have to try it for yourself!!!

Golden shiny body, creamy head. Crisp, spicy, citrus, hay, dried flowers. Rich aroma but not very deep perhaps. Hey, it’s a sub 5% abv beer! Solid bitterness, bit short on the end. Yes it doesn’t have enough to match the richness of a full on ipa and you have to like the spicy edge, but it you don’t care much for this one, the brewer offers so much other great hoppy brews! Personally I like it as a startup beer. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2015 Thin white head over semi clear light golden beer. Medium minus aroma intensity, less than anticipated, fair pine hops scents. Medium pleasant texture, medium plus base bitterness, decent attack on palate, ok maltiness but lacking in body, coarse on the midpalate and brief finish, lingering bitterness, leaving a slightly unclean feeling. Not awful but not too good either.

Keg at the brewery during the Lervig Tap takeover. 25/04/2015. Golden / pale yellow coloured pour, clear with a thin white head. Aroma is slight biscuity base malts, spicy hop, nobel, tangerine. Flavour is grainy, light biscuity grains, spicy tangerine, nobel hop. Palate is crisp, medium, highish carbonation, refreshing. Lingering grassy earthy hop bitterness. Decent.

nihtila (3668) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 22, 2015
Can from Cornelius. Nose is hops, fruits, pine. Taste is grapefruit, pine, grass, hoppy bitter finish.

McTapps (6909) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - MAY 21, 2015
Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. The beer has got a hazy golden-amber colour with a small head and medium body. Aroma of hops and fruits. Taste of hops, barley, bread, citrus fruits, grapefruit and pine. Hoppy-fruity-dry finish. Enjoyed it.
