Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste. But we decided to go one step further and actually make it the perfect summer beer. Beginning this spring (2016), we’re adding grapefruit juice to some of our Lucky Jack tanks. Now you can have all the flavour of Lucky Jack with a twist: a perfect medley of citrus from the addition of grapefruit juice. It’s beautifully refershing on a hot summer day on the deck or at the beach.

Malts: Pilsner and Caramel.
Hops. Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook.

Aroma: grapfruit and citrus.

Food pairings: BBQ chicken and ribs, tortillas and guachamole, fresh fruit salad.Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway.

BeerViking (4910) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2013
Bottle bought in Norway, light gold with a lacing white head, grapefruit and tangerine on the nose, crisp and bitter with more citrus notes over golden malt. Dry sharply bitter aftertaste.

Kavu (4890) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 1, 2013
0,33l bottle from the local supermarket. Pours slightly cloudy golden with a low head. Aroma is malts with a hint of fruits. Flavor is malts and fruits with a hoppy finish. Quite refreshing and well balanced. Enjoyable APA.

Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 14, 2011
0.33l bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a clear orange body with a small sidesticking thin white head. Aroma is quite hop-fruity with notes of grass, malts, peach and heather honey. Body is a bit thin and watery, still not that bad for a 4.7% abv, and the carbonation is lively. Notes of lime and lime-zest along with some thin grapefruit. The bitterness gets a bit to overwhelming for me and makes the beer feel a bit unbalanced. Lacking some needed maltsweetnes that could have done this really well. Ends in a slightly cardboard-dry finish with a grassy and bitter aftertaste.

OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 25, 2010
0.33L bottle enjoyed at Knut Albert’s, provided by gunnar. Thanks mate! Low bubbley blond head. Body is bright deep gold. Pleasant and inviting hop nose; citrus, pineapple and dried yellow fruits. Light and refined malt body, clean and lightly sweet. Distinct fruity and grassy hop bitterness. Clean and rounded in the mouth. Finishes dry with fruity-bitter endnotes. Not very full, but has fine hop charcater and good quenching abilities.

tricksta_p (4763) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - MAY 16, 2015
Aroma of pale malt, tropical fruits, floral notes, some pine, hops. Flavour is nicely bitter. Nice APA, aroma is a bit thin but the potent bitter flavour makes up for it.
