Palme (4484) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 14, 2011
0.33l bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a clear orange body with a small sidesticking thin white head. Aroma is quite hop-fruity with notes of grass, malts, peach and heather honey. Body is a bit thin and watery, still not that bad for a 4.7% abv, and the carbonation is lively. Notes of lime and lime-zest along with some thin grapefruit. The bitterness gets a bit to overwhelming for me and makes the beer feel a bit unbalanced. Lacking some needed maltsweetnes that could have done this really well. Ends in a slightly cardboard-dry finish with a grassy and bitter aftertaste.

1/3L btl, from Eurospar Langnes Troms. Pours a nice white bumpy head on a straw yellow body. Scents of peaches and hops, grass, meadow. Taste of bitter leaves, touch of peach, lots of hops. Mouthfeel with distinct bitterness, balanced alright. Spicy notes to the end. Smoke and barbecue. Recommendable to all who can enjoy an ale with distinct bitterness.
