Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste. But we decided to go one step further and actually make it the perfect summer beer. Beginning this spring (2016), were adding grapefruit juice to some of our Lucky Jack tanks. Now you can have all the flavour of Lucky Jack with a twist: a perfect medley of citrus from the addition of grapefruit juice. Its beautifully refershing on a hot summer day on the deck or at the beach.

Malts: Pilsner and Caramel.
Hops. Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook.

Aroma: grapfruit and citrus.

Food pairings: BBQ chicken and ribs, tortillas and guachamole, fresh fruit salad.Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Marko/heavy (thanks!). Comes as Lucky Jack American Pale Ale. Pale amber coloured, small off-white head, pleasant hoppy citrusy nose. Moderate malty, quite hoppy and fruity lemony taste with hint of spices. Rather bitter finish. Nice one.

330ml can. Pours a hazy orange amber with a one finger white head. Can conditioned. Big tropical fruit notes on this one, mango, peach and apricot. Get a touch of straw and light caramel too. Light in the mouth, but decent on flavour. Fairly light on the malt base but big on tropical fruit and a decent lasting dry bitter finish. Very moreish anyway !!

Fruity aroma. The same applies to the taste. Okay bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. Good beer. Follow me @ Kung av l @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Decent run of the mill pale ale. No off flavours, but very conservative, not a lot of risk taken or anything special.

Can from the Cambridge Brewhouse. Mid- to dark gold. Hazy with a light hrad and some visible carbs. Gentle apricot and resin aroma with a strong cardboard note. Bittersweet taste with lingering hop, with more cardboard. Astringency on the finish. Nectarine in the aftertaste. Very simple and slightly underwhelming. Almost reminiscent of an English golden than an APA.
