Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste. But we decided to go one step further and actually make it the perfect summer beer. Beginning this spring (2016), we’re adding grapefruit juice to some of our Lucky Jack tanks. Now you can have all the flavour of Lucky Jack with a twist: a perfect medley of citrus from the addition of grapefruit juice. It’s beautifully refershing on a hot summer day on the deck or at the beach.

Malts: Pilsner and Caramel.
Hops. Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook.

Aroma: grapfruit and citrus.

Food pairings: BBQ chicken and ribs, tortillas and guachamole, fresh fruit salad.Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway.

Pale beer with some small white flakes floating, grapefruit? Lovely nose with fruity citrus notes and floral. Tastes like the summer, wonderful session beer. Would have said more but do not like bits floating in my beer!!!

That sharp bitterness at the front transitions to the dry finish with a bitter lingering note. Looks ok in the glass nice start white head that doesn’t last long though. Aroma is understated and a bit dull.

330 ml can, bb 22.02.2018. Pours a hazy, dark golden with a large white head. The aroma is lightly to medium hoppy with grapefruit and pine and light malty (bread). Light to medium body with a medium carbonation, a medium bitterness and a light sweetness. The flavor is fruity with oranges and grapefruit and lightly malty - bread and biscuit. Ends with a lingering hoppy bitterness.

Can. Pours yellow gold with a good head. Grapefruit, honey, orange, peach, little capsicum bitterness towards the end. Quite a thin body with a little too much carbonation for me. Nice enough.

Can from M+S. Pours gold, foamy white head. Soft biscuit aroma, hint of malt and caramel. Decent carbonation, a little thin for me. Dry, hoppy, slightly peppery taste. hint of citrus. OK, but needs more oomph.
