Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste. But we decided to go one step further and actually make it the perfect summer beer. Beginning this spring (2016), we’re adding grapefruit juice to some of our Lucky Jack tanks. Now you can have all the flavour of Lucky Jack with a twist: a perfect medley of citrus from the addition of grapefruit juice. It’s beautifully refershing on a hot summer day on the deck or at the beach.

Malts: Pilsner and Caramel.
Hops. Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook.

Aroma: grapfruit and citrus.

Food pairings: BBQ chicken and ribs, tortillas and guachamole, fresh fruit salad.Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway.

Golden orangeish colour, and creamy head. Tastes of caramely hops, krokan, grass, bitterness from carrot and some smoke. Light-medium body, soft carbonation, and a bitter aftertaste. A bit too bitter with not much other tastes, but good for its price

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch KL09:39. AROMA: moderate hop aroma with floral / tropical notes (passionfruit, some grapefruit). Almost neutral background with a slight sweet malty presence. APPEARANCE: gold color and clear. moderate white head, creamy, with medium to good retention. TASTE: moderate hop flavor similar to aroma, dominating the presentation, with floral / tropical notes (mild passionfruit, faint grapefruit). Almost neutral grainy malt background, with a very faint sweetness to support hops. Moderate bitterness that lasts beyond a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-light body with moderate carbonation. no hop astrngency. OVERALL: a very nice American Pale ale with good hop presence, good drinkability and with a more neutral malt presence.

33 cl, can conditioned. Golden amber, creamy one-finger off-white head medium carbonation, LOTS of sediments giving it a murky/dirty appearance. Aroma-wise the american hops hit your nose within a second after you crack the can open. It’s piny, grassy and citrusy. Mouthfeel is dry, dank, sticky Taste is hoppy and bitter, grapefruit up front. And maybe some flavours from the yeast, I’m not sure. Not the best APA around.

Pale Ale på ekte amerikansk vis. Florlett, fruktig og forførende friskt. You might get lucky, Jack!Pilsner/Crystal // Amarillo/Citra/Chinook Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway. ---Rated BY Italianbeer85

0.33 l can from K-Supermarket Ruoholahti. Golden clear colour with big head. Taste has mainly American citrus like hops. Good, but everybody’s making this kind of beer nowadays.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Hazy golden-yellow with medium white head. The aroma is piney, some onion notes, citrus and grassy. Bitter flavor with notes of citrus (lemon, orange), some onion, piney and grassy. Medium-bodied. Nice and fresh.
