Quevillon's rating

Quevillon (3061) - Boisbriand, Quebec, - MAR 12, 2013
Drank on tap (10 oz) at the Centropolis brewpub on March 12, 2013. Blonde, thin head. Hoppy aroma of lemon, a little dry. Hop flavor simple but pleasant notes of sweet fruit, very dry, a little bitterness. Even if this brewerie is more for everyday people, at less they will have a idea what an IPA taste like, just a bit!

Good beer for a meal-beer combo at 3 brasseurs on Sparks. Definitely an good IPA.

Tranquillity (2251) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 11, 2017
Draft at the brewery. The body is almost red, with a thick white head. The aroma has citrus and the taste has orange, like a Belgian wit.

AleRider78 (1046) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 20, 2017
Had on tap at Ottawa Sparks street location. Has an average size foamy head and has a pale amber appearance. Nice dirty choppy lacing. Aromas of bready malts and nice floral and citrus hops as well. Some pretty sweet and citrusy hop flavours, a mix of oranges and clementines, slight bitterness, doesn’t seem as bitter as it’s said to be (at 60ibu) but fine nonetheless. Mild spices well blended. Tingling mouthfeel and a bit sweet. Thick foamy feel on the palate. Very good carbonation, gives a fizzy feeling mouthfeel. Very good, great taste.

Boutip (6321) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2016
Draft: Poured a deep amber color ale. Aroma of caramelized malt with light bitter hops notes. Taste is mostly a mix of light caramelized malt with dry hoppy notes and medium bitterness. Body is about average with OK carbonation. Short on hops character but no flaws to report.

This IPA wasn’t bad, but it was sort of meh... nothing special. I’m tired of IPAs at chain breweries that don’t have much to offer...

Kauge (1928) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 28, 2016
Tap at Les 3 Brasseurs. Barely translucent orange/amber with rather good off-white head that retains and laces well. Faint sweet aroma of toffee and caramel with just hints of leafy herbal hops. Tastes sweetish, more malty than hoppy, dry, with abrupt, green and grassy finish. As it warms some sweet floral notes appear. Crispish carbonation, light to medium body. The classic, or rather generic, new-school old-school malt-forward shitty and unfortunately very popular brewpub IPA.

On tap at Les 3 Brasseurs. The color is a clear honey with no head. The aroma is of hops .The taste also of hops and citrus fruits but very weak.

mzaar (3380) - Varberg, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2015
Fat. Bärnstensfärgad öl med ett smutsvitt skum. Dofter och smaker av karamell, grapefrukt, malt och gräs. Medelbeska, något tunn. En IPA att snart glömma.

Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 7, 2015
A bunch of fruity aromas, caramel, grapefruit citrus. Almost clear dark gold. Dull bitterness under candy sweetness. Not subdued in the old English style or hop forward in the modern style. I would have pegged it for something else although I did enjoy.

Ferris (15003) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 4, 2015
Draft - Orange peel and some astringency. Clear gold with a nice white head. Bitter tea leaves, wet grass and a long bitter finish.
