Bottle 33cl from 3 Brasseurs Strasbourg. A cloudy amber brown beer with good head, got some gushing. Nose is spicy with caramel and slightly sour background. Taste is quite sweet, tannic. Aroma is on caramel, toasted caramel, spice, light butterscotch, light lactic / sour notes that provides cherries notes. Finish is a bit vinous, good honey and caramel touch, pleasant and correct complexity; papat444 (136) - Carignan, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 13, 2017
Appearance: An amber-orange body with a thick, white head and a fair amount of carbonation.
Smell: Some malt with a light sweetness. No maple syrup aroma.
Taste: Slight roasted malt with a bitter finish, some caramel maybe but still no sign of the maple syrup.
Mouthfeel: Better than the initial taste with a slight, shy sweetness. As it warms, the elusive maple comes out a little. A bit thin but i can taste the hops finish with it’s bitterness. Maple kind of an aftertaste only. There’s also a taste reminiscent of nuts. BlackHaddock (7570) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 30, 2016
Flip-top .75 litre bottle (most likely the French version): shared with my son on Christmas Day 2016. An off-white head sat on a reddy brown body that oozed maltiness from start to finish. More semi-sweet caramel and toffee notes than ’maple syrup’ in the nose and flavour for me. Quite liked it. Mjp12 (1959) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2016
From a French bottle, light yeasty aroma, this is quite well balanced for a Belgian ale, I was worried the maple syrup would make it too sweet, but there is enough spice on the finish to make it quite drinkable . Alusmamuts (2094) - LATVIA - MAY 3, 2015
Bottle from Les 3 Brasseurs Lille (FR). Amber with very rich beige head. Roasted carmel (not very intenese) taste with dry moderae bitterness, which stays in the aftertaste.

Surprisingly huge gusher. Surprising because this brewer’s beers are generally quite clean, even the bottle refermented ones. This is yeasty, peachy, Vienna malts, not bad but a straightforward blonde. Medium bitter (for the style) and simple malt base. Luckily not sugary and also quite a nice mouth feel. Not nice that I lost half the bottle though... (33cl bottle from the AWS9 (736) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 26, 2013
Interesting dark orange pour with a hint of frothy head that dissipates. Sugary hop aroma. Oddly complex, as there’s certainly a general sugary (maple sugar!) malt backing, but also some definite hoppy and fruity notes that seem to interchange. An interesting taste, though it gets all mixed up in the finish, which makes drinking this a bit of a chore by the end of it. Certainly an interesting one! Swing-top bottle - 750ml. Beautiful cloudy amber body with a huge off-white foamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with maple hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Taste is well balanced but it lacks complexity. Carbonation is a bit agressive. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish. Drinkable. rodenbach99 (4572) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 15, 2013
