Robe brune, mousse abondante, crmeuse, persistante.

dcmchew (49) - Bucharest, ROMANIA - APR 13, 2017
Deep dark amber, small, but creamy and lasting light tan head. Not a very rich aroma, just some spiciness, some earthy European hop, faint toast. Taste starts with some Belgian sugars, mild nuttiness and some dark dark bread. Some hop bitterness in the finish, spiciness and faint dried citrus peel. Aftertaste has some lingering spicy yeast, some toasted bread and a bit of warm alcohol. Medium body, really prickly carbonation. A pretty run-of-the-mill Belgian strong, not bad, but forgetable.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown with cream foam. Aroma is sweet from liquor, dry fruits, caramel. Body is medium, with good carbonation. Taste is markedly sweet, though some bitterness is present in the final, together with some tongue tickling. Finish is long.

Bottle. Deep brownish-amber with beige head. The aroma has notes of milk chocolate, yeasts, alcohol, caramel and some nuts. Very sweet flavor, alcoholic with notes of yeasts and caramel, light hoppy bitterness, some citrus. Lively carbonation, medium to full-bodied.

Bottle, thanks rayaron. Pours hazy reddish brown with a huge persistent head, lots of floating particles and sediment. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, soap and candy. Malty sweet, boozy, flavors of caramel, prunes, overripe fruit, spicy and yeasty with medium bitterness. Medium bodied, fizzy, syrupy. Not bad but too alcoholic for my liking.
