ChrisOs Kook Tasting. Opaque black beer. Very light and soft frothy palate. Light sour malt and very light chocolate. Finishes light, frothy and dry. Pretty drinkable.

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 13, 2012
bottle from Calais Vins. Hazy brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Very mils, with hints of chocolate and roasted malts, also raisins and dates. Very very shy hopps finish.

DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2009
Bottle at Chris_o’s "smash Kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Darker sweet sugary malt, belgian fruity esters off the yeast, far too sweet and over carbonated.

Joeh (2049) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2008
Bottle at Chris_o’s. Dark brown, malty, sugary sweet beer with a touch of grape skins. Average.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 3, 2007
Burgundy reflections come across the dark brown body. Fair off-white head lasts atop it all. Earthy, caramelly and sugary nose hides a metallic component that becomes more obvious in mouth where the maltiness takes an interesting date-like twist. Rather expanding carbonation feels airy. Sweet and filling flavours with a definite liquorice reminding trait.

Ungstrup (37616) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2007
Bottled. A dark brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet and very malty combined with notes of caramel, as well as light notes of alcohol and spices. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 29, 2007
Bottle. Sweet, lightly caramelly start, slightly grainy mouthfeel. Some light yeastyness, and quite soft in the mouth. NOt a whole lot happening, but seems quite clean and pleasant.

JorisPPattyn (10002) - Ursel, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2007
Medium to good yellow head; deep amber-chestnut colour. Roasted, roasted chestnuts or oats, duckfat. Roasted taste, caramel, but not cloying; ending a bit nutty. Little sticky MF all the same, rather well-bodied. Not too sweet which is good.

2.9
chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2007
Bottle, at London Shindig, August 2007. Dark brown. Some raisins and other dried fruity on a malty, candi sugar base. Nothing too exciting but pleasant enough. Mellow mouthfeel. Finishes a touch too sweet for my liking.

2.8
rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 30, 2007
(RBESG 2007, Glasgow. Bottle) ellow color, white head. Malty, bready aroma. Malty bready flavor with corn and some sugar.
