Mousse énormément, bouteille a débordé à l’ouverture.

Pours a cloudy amber with a big frothy off white top. Aroma if faint caramel and grainy malt. Taste is fairly bland, muddled caramel, small roasted and grain.

La Délirante: Sweet and lightly grainy malts with some floral and earthy hop character in the nose. Slight haze to the orange-copper coloured body that is topped by a generous, foamy, off white head that recedes slowly to a lasting cover with some very nice lacing. Candy-like fruity esters from the yeast are joined by a gentle malt sweetness and fairly pronounced bitterness. Citrus lingers in the aftertaste. Medium body with moderate carbonation that prickles the front and sides of the tongue. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (Le Gobelet, Jan-08).

Bottle: Poured a deep hazy orangey color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt is more intense then what I would have expected for the style. Taste is a mix between some intense semi-sweet malt with a lightly hoppy finish. Full body with some great carbonation. I was quite impressed by this one as this is usually a very boring style.

Another hazy amber ale with a thin off white head. A yeasty malt aroma with light herbal notes. In mouth, a spiced malt with rather crisp hops and light notes of butterscotch. I agree with Dany that this batch is very variable, as the other bottle opened was infected and getting into Freres Houblons territory. Guys, clean your lines. Bought at Le Gobelet, Vaudreuil, as Délirante, Nov. 24 2007.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2013 In short: Dry but juicy Belgian-ish Ale. Basic session beer.
How: 341ml bottle (called Délirante)
The look: Cloudy orange copper body with a medium off-white head
In long: Fruity aroma, borderline juicy. Pleasant soft taste. Fruity yeast, bready malts, subtle peppery spices and a surprisingly generous amount of hops. Hops are part dry and grassy and part grapefruity juicy. Overall the beer feels quite dry despite its juicy side. The bottle I’m rating was rather nice, one of the best I’ve had from them, but that may or may not be the case with another bottle. I’ve been drinking their beers for a while now and unfortunately they are about as constant as my cousin Louis heart rate in a topless bar.
