Creamy, foamy, fresh hoppy aromas, citrus, pepper and evergreen notes. Velvety caramel smooth mouthful, straight as an arrow… Don’t count on its bitterness to behave; palate invasion is its modus operandi!

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep golden-orange with a small diminishing creamy white head. Nice aroma, it’s hoppy but also unique, along with lots of leafy hops there’s some sweet fruit, pepper, caramel malt and a hint of alcohol. Delicious flavour: Dry, slightly spicy hops along with some fruit, caramel malt and with a big bitter finish. Average bodied. Very good!

On tap at Brasseurs du Temps. First the color is amber with a thick beige head and lace. The aroma is very hoppy and bitter. The taste is what an I.P.A. should taste like, hops and more hops the bitterness of citrus fruits along with some sweetness.as for the aftertaste it is good and long lasting.

Tap from bdt. Nose is earthy and grassy with some sweet. Up front In mouth some candy sweet. Backed by citrus and some decent bitterness. Pours orange-red with huge lacing.... Maybe most I’ve ever seen. Medium creamy in mouth with good carbonation.

A dark clear amber IPA with a thin creamy off white head. A nice British hops aroma, fragrant, orangey, smooth and classy. In mouth, a nice hoppy ale with sweet notes, grapefruit hops. Rich and smooth. On tap at brewpub July 21 2009.

Draught. At the brewpub. Clear amber-copper with a solid creamy lasting beige head (4-). Dry and leafy aroma, medium roast cereal grain and plenty of bitterness, mostly a slightly funky/floral variety - no alcohol presence at all. Incredibly dry flavour, slightly burnt oily grain, but mostly burnt-bitter leafiness, and man does it last a long time - long, long finish to this one. Average body, very astringent, quite intense on the palate - very solid, but the scorched character wears on the palate a bit after a while - still a solid brew.

I really need to stop trying new beers then getting too drunk to remember what they smelled and tasted like. From the description above I’d say that’s pretty accurate, although I would say evergreen is remarkably specific. Still...pretty, caramel pour with a great creamy cap that lasts forever; faint but pleasant citrus/pine/caramel nose. Really nice, creamy caramel malt with some good balancing hop bitterness, but it definitely lacked a little hop punch for my liking. Still solid.
