COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For the hop lover in you, this 100 IBU beer uses Columbus and Amarillo hops which exude explosive aromas of citrus, cherry, oak and rose water. Sweetness mingles with alcohol and hops in a lenghty aftertaste.

Excellent produit! Cheers!

This is a stunning IPA from a great little brew pub in Gatineau. Most of the brewpubs in and around the Ottawa area offer up embarrassingly bad beers, but these guys have a few very good offerings that are now available in bottles at stores around the area. The beer itself has a wonderfully bright nose, with plenty or aromatic hops, citrus, some pine needle and a touch of sweetness. The colour is pretty typical of any IPA, with a nice deep golden hue and a beige head that dissipates slowly as you drink it. The taste is truly among some of the best IPAs I’ve ever had. At 10% it’s a very hefty beer even for an imperial, splitting the line somewhere between a DFH 90 minute and a DFH 120 minute. In that regard, the balance is almost perfect. The alcohol is very well integrated, and not really noticeable due to the crisp finish provided by the intense hops, and the excellent balance of sweetness. Mouthfeel is a little on the thick side, but it suits this beer perfectly. Anything with this much alcohol and hops needs a heavier feel to it, and this delivers without feeling overly sweet or sugary. Overall, this is one of my new favorites, and comes strongly recommended is you happen to be in the area. Strangely, I feel it tastes better from the bottle than it does served at the actual pub.

Great beer. I had it at lunch. Pours a cloudy/opaque golden yellow with a big frothy head and great lacing. Aroma is citrus/grapfruit coming from a boatload of hops. Taste is a punch in the mouth of citrus/floral hop bitterness with a smoothness of wheat and hop. Reminded me of Pliny although it’s been awhile. I’ll be back.

This is a good IPA, probably one of the best. It’s a strong beer with great aroma.
