For the hop lover in you, this 100 IBU beer uses Columbus and Amarillo hops which exude explosive aromas of citrus, cherry, oak and rose water. Sweetness mingles with alcohol and hops in a lenghty aftertaste.

Thanks to hoppypocket for this extra. Poured from a 750ml. bottle, bottled Aug. 31 2011. Appearance: A very creamy head, 3-4 fingers strong with long lasting power. Body is a gorgeous hazy orange. Smell: Reserved at first but really opens up as it warms. Hops, grapefruit, orange pulp, a bit of oak and a mix of sweet & bitter. Taste: Spicy, citrus, burnt sugar. A bit sweet actually which overpowers the bitterness. Mellows as it warms. Aftertaste of grapefruit rind is nice. Mouthfeel: Low on the bitterness, surprisingly smooth and very well balanced. Overall: The alcohol is not felt at all. A nice mesh of sweetness and spices. Would have liked more lasting bitterness but i was still pleased with this one.

Keg at Brasseur du Temps, Gatineau. Clear pale amber, mid sized head. Caramelly nose with pears and grapefruit. Sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Syrupy caramel, grapefruit and notes of pine. Mid bitter finish. Too much syrupy caramel.

Floral, sweet, cant taste too much bitterness for the 100 IBU. My bottle says 10% ABV but you cant taste it. I taste lots of slightly bitter but sweet citrus fruits. Really good!

What a fine surprise finding this lil gem turned out to be. A big fruity, sweet, herbal and floral bombardment of aroma and taste this is. Pineapple, pear, pine, floral notes, light cardamom and white pepper, honeydew melon; such an interesting of array to be found in an atypically tasting IIPA. This is very smooth and close to being undercarbonated but that flavour is so excellent that the soft mouthfeel isnt a turn off. Beautiful to boot, a wonderful lace rides the sides and the glass gets swiveled about. Be cautious, this is an easy drinker for such a high percentage.

Cloudy medium amber with a small white head leaving patchy lace. Nose is caramel, grass, pine, light orange and some wood. Light sweet toffee leads to a big bitter resiny middle and end with a bit of smokiness. Medium syrupy mouth with soft carbonation and a long bitter finish. Bitterness is a bit one dimensional and the alcohol is quite evident.

750ml bottle from Marche Jovi in Gatineau, Quebec. Orange-brown in colour with a long lasting off-white head. The aroma is of fruits, citrus, grass, pepper, floral, some caramel. Flavour is of caramel sweetness, light spice, hoppy, bitter, resiny. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, bitter, hoppy. Another really nice beer from Les Brasseurs du Temps. So balanced and drinkable.

Draught @ the brewpub (11 oclock). Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of hops and fruit, with cotric and malty notes. Sweet flavour of fruit and caramel, with bitter notes of hops and alcohol and some malty touches. Bittersweet afteraste. Warming alcohol presence. Well-balanced and rather nice.
