A hazed reddish brown ale with a thin moka head. A fragrant spiced aroma, with notes of strawberries and light cinnamon, with floral hops. In mouth, a nutty malt with fruity esters, fusel, some harshness, but quite pleasant. Medium bodied. On tap at the pub, at BdT 1st Anniversary, May 15 2010. jercraigs (10731) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2011
2011-05-18. Dark red-brown body with a nice small beige head and lace. 3+ Flavour has a malty base, earthy toasty caramel notes, pleasant bitterness throughout, modest resiny notes, finish has an interesting hop/malt blend that is familiar somehow. 7+ Aroma has sort of a tangy note to the malt, modest green leafy hops. 7+ Smooth average to medium bodied palate. Pretty decent. On tap at the brewpub czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 23, 2011

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy copper-brown with a small semi-lasting foamy off-white head. Aroma’s malty and fruity along with light resiny hops and light spices. Flavour’s hoppier then the aroma suggests with a decent amount of resiny hops along with caramel malt, light spices and fruit. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

Draft: Poured a brown color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of spicy rye notes with some light caramelized malt notes. Taste is a very drinkable mix of spice rye malt with light caramelized malt notes. Overall mix is more dry then sweet. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well done and easily drinkable. In short: A straightforward but effective rye beerEructoblaster (4330) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 21, 2010
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy dark redish-golden body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Nose has rye bread and some resinous hops. Taste is full of rye bread, a slight juicy spicy sensation, some caramel, some resinous hops bringing a mild bitterness. Straightforward but quite tasty. I liked it. One of the many pints I had at the pub first anniversary. Someone said that Hull is such a beautiful city and that a charming city like Hull deserves a classy brewpub like BDT. I love it when people are very sarcastic. Really, keep it up. Sarcasms are great.
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark copper body with a fair off-white creamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with grapefruit hints. Sharp, fresh hoppy taste with malty and oaky notes. It ends with a long bitter finish. Very enjoyable! GRM (4144) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 4, 2010

en résumé : bien bon probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 19, 2012
12 oz at the brewpub. Very murky brown-deep copper with a thick, creamy light tan head. Quite sweet, grainy, fruity, a little raw grain, light berries, a bit peppery, a touch of tang, decent if a little...unfinished? Medium body, relaxed eff. with a few prickly bubbles. Fruity, estery, yeast, tastes a bit rushed to me, decent malts, some rye character, still seems unfinished; dry with good bitterness and a nice toast crust and toffee finish.
