COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Following the trail of strong Belgium Christmas beer, this one is very similar to a five spice cake only liquid form. Seven delightful spices blend themselves to the alcohol and sugar, enabling a warming and joyful feeling for the festive season. Strong liquorice, orange and grape flavours create an explosion of creamy foam.. The lasting mouth feel is one of comforting alcohol, liquorice and orange.

Keg at Brasseur du Temps, Gatineau. Hazy mahogany colour, mid sized head. Caramelly nose with an array of spices. Mid sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Ouzo, caramel, nutmeg and citrus dominates. Focused and harmonious. Mid bitter finish. A winner!

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2017 On tap at Harricana Brewpub. Dark brown with red notes. Dence medium tan head that diminish to a thick cloud and a generous ring. Aroma is a blend of spices, star anise, black loquorise, pine... Taste is spicy, orange crust, anise and liquorise as well. Medium carbonation, medium drinckability and warmful. Nice long and warm spicy finish.

De couleur brun au reflets roux avec peu everfesssance. C est une avec malt caramélisé et épicé comme le clou de girofle . C est Biere qui respecte le style .

To be honest, i dont love this style so my rating is maybe lower than it ought to be/ Murky brown, aroma of clove and licorice. Clove, gingerbread, spice and yeast. Ok

A Christmas classic in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. A thin tan head on a black body. The nose is a festival, featuring cloves, ginger, malt and a hint of nutmeg. The taste profile features rich seasonal tastes, including anise, ginger, cloves, orange peel and slightly roasted malt. The body is appropriately thick and rich but the taste is clean and not cloying. A great Belgian xmas offering

750ml bottle from La Trappe au Fromage in Gatineau, Quebec. Deep brown in colour with a large and long lasting beige head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of light spice, cake, some chocolate, light alcohol, liquorice. The flavour is sweet, warming, oranges and spice, cinnamon and liquorice, malty, noticable alcohol. Warming mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, warming and spicy. Very good stuff. An excellent winter/christmas beer.
