Bought a 750ml bottle from the brewpub - when you visit just ask them what bottles they have for sale, specifically anything barrel aged and they will either bring you out a list or tell you. Black with a brown head that fades to a nice thin layer. Light vanilla, oak and booze, sweet roasted malt and a bit of caramelized toffee with a hint of burn. Moderate to mild body even after it warmed up, moderate carbonation, somewhat sweet, quite dry and booze. Has potential but would really like to try this on tap or with a bit of time.

2012-01-18. Black nice tan head. 3++ modest aroma, dark malt is lightly fruity, modest bourbon barrel character. 7+ rich dark malt imperial stout core, bourbon barrel shows up in the finish, and grows a bit but isn’t overbearing. Light roast lingers. 7++ smooth average plus to med bodied palate. 3++ I don’t love it but it is much better balanced and drinkable than expected. Batch 459 12/08/06 Bottle via trade with cfrancis

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2015 En fût au BDT. Couleur noire, mousse brune. Arôme de café, chocolat, bois. Très crémeuse, visqueuse, elle glisse. En bouche, espresso, chêne, un peu de cerises noire, malt grillé, choco. Finale de bois et café/chocolat noir. Excellente.

Draught at the brewpub, Sep. 7. Pours black with a small long-lasting creamy tan head and lacing on the glass. Lovely aroma of roasted malt, leafy hops, light bourbon, chocolate, coffee, lactic notes and more. Nice flavour of chocolate, light leafy hops, coffee and just a hint of the bourbon. Alcohol is there but pretty well hidden considering the high abv. Medium bodied. This is delicious and I love that the Bourbon is subtle, great stuff!
