Bottle. Very black with good brown head. Very nice aroma of chocolate cookies, alcohol and molasses. Body seems thinner than aroma. Licorice and alcohol up front and pleasant chocolate biscuity cookie in the finish. Front and back are nice. Middle ha an aggressive sharp bitter punch. rodenbach99 (4571) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 19, 2012
Bouteille de 750ml. Merci Patrick.
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small tan head. The aroma is roast and alcohol. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet roast with alcohol burn with bitter finish. A decent Imperial stout. Metalchopz (3711) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 29, 2012
Purchased at my local Métro store. Comes in a 750ml brown bottle with a bottling date: 11/08/15#271. Pour an almost black colour with no highlights. Its light brown coloured head is creamy, long lasting and creates great lacing. Molasses aromas with notes of cocoa, plum, raisins, maple syrup and light nuts. Medium-full bodied with a nice slick palate. The chocolate is a bit more present in the taste with the hop bitterness coming out in the finish. A little smoke covers the hop in the aftertaste and the dry espresso coffee bean lingers. Good roasted malts with no burning at all. Very well-blended Imperial Stout that is quite easy to drink and with more hop presence than most other tried of this style (without being too bitter).

Pours jet black with a bubbly mocha colored head; recedes to yield thick lacing around the glass. Penetrating earthy and roasted aroma, enticing blend of cocoa and espresso beans in the nose. There’s an interesting sweetness up front in the flavor that I can’t seem to pin down...like a sweetened coffee with dates. Roasted and bitter hop notes push through in the finish, leaving the palate dry. Low carbonation lends a silky smooth mouthfeel that makes for very easy drinking. This is pretty luxurious stuff. Black. Slightly smoky with some hop, roast and full rich maltiness. Good stout. pushkinwow (2978) - Ottawa, CANADA - JAN 18, 2012
750 ml bottle. Black with a voluminous brown head that leaves a night lacing down the glass. Bitter chocolate, toasted malts, burnt coffee, very rich, yet also somewhat light in terms of a chocolate forrest cake. Smooth, somewhat light yet full bodied if that makes sense, low carbonation, a little unbalanced, sweet, bit vegetably, becomes more bitter but the cloying sweetness is there as well along with some soy, malt and chocolate. Have to admit one of their more interesting beer - bravo for trying but for me at least prefer something a little less sweet and perhaps a little more complex. Still worth trying if its your type of beer. rejtable (2916) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2012
Tap from their bistro. Wow, what a beautiful beer. Big huge up front hit of coffee, chocolate. A nice bitter finish. Pours very dark with thick tan head. Big and thick in the mouth. Maybe my favourite beer from these guys. JulienHuxley (6004) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 7, 2012
Bottle. Dark pour with brown head, lots of lacing. Aroma of field berries, chocolate and belgian dark malts (cocoa). Taste is sweet, lots of cocoa, berries, nice roasty finale. Palate is heavy, nice and creamy mouthfeel. Good imperial stout.
