Zitronig hefiger Antrunk, geringe Herbe, etwas wässrig. Deutlich herb, nicht wirklich rund. Trocken herb hefiger Abgang. Naja... 9/8/9/7/9/7

Phenolic yeastiness bring about a spicy, clovey, peppery, smokey aroma, lifted up by forward lemon rind notes. The rustic spelt enhances the spicy undertones furthermore and yet pushing forth the refreshing acidity that is a constant presence, but never a dominating force. I’m not sure that strong a phenolic character is really only a matter of a yeast strain and not problematic, but at the current level, I don’t find it unpleasant. For one part, there is not a whole lot of other flavours going about and for another, a characterful yeast is always interesting in the context of a light blonde ale with an old-school cereal. Light, watery almost in terms of texture, for all its relatively high carbonation and easy-drinking, witbier like ale. Simplistic, but not unpleasant.

Bottle: Poured a bright pale yellow color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lemony notes with weird unrefined grain notes is not the most pleasant. Taste is also dominated by lemony notes which are not the most pleasant with some unrefined grainy malt notes. Body is light with good carbonation. I am generally quite favourable to the use of different cereal in beers but in this particular case it did nothing to enhance the flavours profile.

750ml bottle, bright golden color, with a thick bubbly white head, mild honeyed pale, pilsner, munich malt nose, with a yeasty ripe apple fruity note, and with some apple sauce, pear accents in the aroma follows through on a light-bodied palate with a light honeyed grainy crunchy pale, pilsener, spelt malt, subtle ashen character, with some faint fruity, honey granola bar, apple sauce, lemon peel, flowery citrus hop flavours, leading towards a fruity, faint burnt pale grainy spelt maltiness, subtle lingering leafy hop bitterness finish.

Franchement mauvais. No m’ho puc creure !
