Dry earthy porter. Smelt beery but still looking good at very dark brown with some lace dots and a little retained head. Smooth mouthfeel, Good English porter, understated carbonation though probably by accident. Bottle from Boutip.

Boutip (6214) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 11, 2013
Bottle: Poured a deep black color porter with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some sweet chocolate notes is actually quite enticing. Taste is also dominated by some sweet chocolate notes with some roasted malt and light dry coffee undertones. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not super complex by any degree but easily drinkable and sweeter than expected.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2014 My Bottom Line :
Black grapes and roastiness merge in this easygoing, yeasty dark ale.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam tops the brown-hued blackness.
-Drinkability is very high.
-The finish is a union of leafy hops and roasted malt bitterness.
-The overt fruitiness fits with the light sugars and takes this brew away from the usual Porter/Stout categories.

Bottles.
