czar (9250) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 22, 2016
sample at mondial de la bière, mtl. from cask. cloudy medium dark brown with a nice light beige head offering some retention and lacing. piney nutty and fruity maltiness, sweet molasses, some bitter chocolate, burnt melon fruitiness, integrated alcohol, sweet coffee, tannic wood, oak chips. moderate carbonation, medium to full body - kind of heavy; sweet and resinous finish. aroma is close to an imperial black ipa but taste doesn’t follow, it is rather sweet for instance. sweet minty coffee brown swill, which is original but scattered and uncohesive.

[7847-20151023] Cask. Evergreen needles and roasted grains aroma. Brown black body with a quick foamy white head. Burnt caramel and toasted chocolate bread flavour. Full body. Sweet and tasty. (7/3/7/3/16) 3.6

[Cask at Cask Days 2015] Cask #16 of the fest. Pours black with a small frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, a hint of coffee, some hops and fruit. Flavour of roasted malt, light hops, light notes of chocolate and coffee, a hint of vanilla and a roasty bitter finish -- not a huge flavour, milder then expected. Medium bodied. Quite nice.

2015-10-23. Black body with a small tan head. 3++ Pleasant aroma, sort of fruity with a good amount of green hops. 7+ Flavour is similar, fruit notes, light roasty, fruity hops and muted green hops. 7++ Smooth medium bodied palate. 3++ Nice. 7/4/7/4/16+ Cask Days 2015, Toronto.

Stoned99 (1630) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 6, 2015
Sample @Bières et Saveurs. Aroma: piney, tropical fruits, pineapples on a background of roasted malt and molasses. App: hazy brown, murky, small white head, some lacing even though it’s a cask. Taste and palate: medium body, taste is more of the porter Baltic than iipa. Overall: great. Would like a bit more of the iipa but enjoyed it

simardsam (261) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 13, 2015

Whatup14 (2099) - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 2, 2014
Carbonatation faible, corps moyen-dense.
