Les Trois Mousquetaires Grande Cuvee Wiezenbock Brune De Ble
Longest beer name ever. Nice brown pour. Very clear. Very light head. Lots of sweet malts in the nose. Very thick and very sweet mouth. Almost syropy. Very un-beer like. Sweetness reminds me of maple syrup. This would have gone well with my waffles this morning.
Not sure on this one. Has some big bite. Warming.
I’m a huge fan of beers from this brewery, except this one. I accidentally purchased a big bottle of their special edition version of their barrel-aged barleywine that uses Brett yeast, which sours it. I know that’s what is supposed to happen, but I prefer not to drink beers that taste like vinegar. I wish I had read the label more closely when I bought this at the brewery. Very disappointing. Having said that, if you’re a fan of sour beers, I’m sure this one is pretty good. Read other reviews for that assessment. worldbeertaste (1805) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2016

On tap. Clear, deep amber color with beige head. Aroma has lots of sweet malts, dried fruits but also some earthy bitterness. Taste starts quite sweet with candy and lots of malt but turn quickly and gets scraping bitter. Body is quite light and well carbonated. It’s a very chaotic beer, not balanced at all and quite harsh. Tap. Reddish color with white head. Aroma is toffee, herbal bonbon. Taste is the same, quite bitter. anstei (2169) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - SEP 27, 2016
Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Nose is odd. A bit of dish water, wtf? Some nuts and caramel too. Heavy body with a hint of booze and a tad of carbonation. Intense flavours both on tongue and palate. Well balanced, long finish. Besides the nose very good. yespr (44706) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - SEP 16, 2016
