cask days 2011, dark black with darker tan head, big notes of roastd maltiness, vanilla, wood, booze, bourbon, sweet & rich maltiness. Complex flavors. Bourbon notes were extremely dominate here, almost too much IMO. Big flavors. Very impressive but a bit much Reynolds314 (3433) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Bottle shared at the harvest festival and another strange one but in a pretty good way. The barrel characteristics were very light with small bourbon and vanilla notes. The dry hopping made this weird i think. Citrus and dank grass fight a bit with the roasty chocolate notes. sseb69 (1907) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 30, 2013
Bouteille 750 ml. 10%.
Bottle 750ml. [2010 version,412/700]
Pours very dark brown with a pretty low beige "head". Minimal to no lacing. Aroma is of bourbon, wood, dark fruits, caramel. Taste is of bourbon, wood, dark fruits, caramel. Palate: Full bodied. Low, but existing carbonation. Overall: A tad heavy/swilly, but not cloying. Better than what I remembered.

Pours your typical Porter/stout black, with a small tan head. Aroma is malts and maybe a hint of licorice. Hard to explain the taste, dark fruit, booze and chocolate maybe? overall its a good Baltic Porter but not the best Baltic I’ve had by far. Would drink again though. The warmer it gets the boozier it gets. robinvboyer (4573) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 4, 2011
Cask days 2011.
Typical pour, big bourbon woody aroma. Loads of burnt malt, soy, and coffee, with that typical trois mousquetaire sweetness to the malt profile. Light fruit, and quite a bit more roasted malts. The finish is quite sweet, and woody with a little vanilla. The more is warms the boozier it gets and whoa does the bourbon really come through and overpower. Nice stuff but a little rough around the edges. tom10101 (6029) - Quebec, CANADA - SEP 26, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2013 Bottle (750 ml) shared at Hill Farmstead Harvest Festival - 2011. Dark brown with a small beige head and some lacing. Aroma of Citra hops, bourbon, wood and hints of the complex aroma of the regular beer (chocolate, liquorice, raisins, roasted malt and list goes on). Taste is acidic and citrusy with light notes of bourbon, vanilla, wood, raisins, roasted malt and chocolate. Low carbonation. The regular version of the beer is heavier than this one. This beer is definitely complex but I’m not convinced about the balance. Bourbon isn’t that much present and the Citra dry-hop completely change the beer, maybe not for the best. I prefer the regular version of the beer but it’s still a very good one. stumpyiliz (217) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 18, 2012
Nice tan head with used motor oil pour. FlVors of smoke and cherry come through in the nose. Very little smoke from the malts. Initial taste is tart cherry into choclate and coffee charry finish. Overall really nice but I would really like to see this aged in or with virgin oak barrels/chips for the price. jredmond (8201) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Bottle courtesy of Jay at Clockwork’s December 8th, 2012 tasting. Pours a deep blackish brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is roast and sweet cocoa. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of sweet roast, light fruit, faint smoke, cocoa and spice.
