750mL thanks to ygtbsm94. Deep brune pour. Small mocha foam. Nose is rich berries, smoked sausage, raspberry smoothie, Marmite. Taste is richer, smoky, sharper berries, brown sugar. Palate is nice- refreshing and oily. No off character. Sweeter than I'd like. Smoked character is delicious.

Served from a 750 mL bottle from OTM. The appearance is a deep brown black with a disappearing head. The nose has some dark fruits, a lot of plums and black grapes. Fleshy whole variety that have been sitting in the sun wilting a bit creating a slight sour edge to it. The flavors have the same fruit profile as the noise with more cherry flavors and some raisin as well. There is some fruity coffee there as well but not a dominate flavor. Well carbonated mouth with a slight bitter or spice hint. Really nice beer. northropfrye (3677) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 21, 2012
UPDATED: APR 5, 2014 This is definitely a quality beverage. Dark black colour with vibrant aroma of raisins and other dried fruit. Quite a sweet porter. I enjoyed it, but I prefer a more balanced porter. Quality beer. Rerate. Upped a bit. Gerbeer (3896) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 21, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2015 750 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head that dissipates slowly leaving fine lacing. Aroma of smoky dark chocolate and coffee. Flavors of roasted malts and chocolate with an oily bitter finish. Rich and smooth. Alcohol is well hidden. imaragingbull (575) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 19, 2012

750 ml bottle, 2011 vintage. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention is good, and there’s a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is very nice, it smells like roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, dark fruit (cherries), smoke, and some coffee. The taste is similar to the aroma, the brew tastes like roasted malt, milk and bittersweet chocolate, tart cherries, plums, smoke, molasses, wood, and a bit of coffee. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s creamy and smooth, and has good, soft carbonation. I think this is a pretty good overall brew. I’d certainly buy it again. $12.99 a bottle, bought from Keg Liquors. marathona56 (1) - Baie-Comeau, CANADA - MAY 14, 2012 does not count
Dark cocolate coffee taste with some smokey flavor, sweet but just enough. Good after taste. I drank the fall 2010 "cuvée".
