COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unlike typical porters, our Baltic Porter is brewed in the traditional style as a bottom-fermenting lager. The result is a luxuriously round, but robust, black beer with a mild bitterness. A special blend of roasted malts provides this porter with flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, and you’ll enjoy it’s subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt.

750ml brown bottle, corked. 2011. Deep brown in colour, mahogany highlights. Generous tan head, thick consistency, light spots of lace. Nose is slightly smoky, chocolate malts, light fruit. Taste has a sweet cherry like fruitiness up front, deep caramel, smoky and chcolately malts too. Smoke lingers in the finish, bitter black coffee notes, black cherry tang, roasty malts and some cocoa as well. Pretty rich throughout, not heavy handed with alcohol notes. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, the soft texture works with the richness of this beer. Smokiness was not expected, but works great. I rarely enjoy Baltic Porter this much, but this has a lot going for it.

Very sweet aromas of burnt sugar.Sweet. Very tasty with nice plum fruitiness in the background but the beer is not within the declared style. The aroma is very pleasant, not your average burnt sugar.

Dużo czekolady i kakao, przełamane lekką paloną goryczką i skórką od chleba. W tle ciemne owoce, śliwki. Gładkie i oleiste, ogólne odczucie w stronę słodkości, alkohol swietnie ułożony, bardzo dobre.

Vom Fass im Muted Horn Berlin 2017-07 getrunken. Dieses Porter spielt durch seine Süße sehr gut seine Aromen von dunkler Schokolade und etwas Kaffee aus.

On tap at Muted Horn Berlin. Comes with a dark, nearly black color and a soft tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee beans, hints of dried fruit. Taste is suprisingly sweet. Some dired apricots, roasted malts and very nice coffee. Very well balanced.

Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has smoky/peaty malts, some coffee and dark fruits, a touch of sweet molasses/burnt sugar. Flavor follows suit...dark fruits are accentuated...some bitter dark chocolate and earthy/woody notes. Mouthfeel is light/medium and slightly syrupy with a dry, roasty finish.

Bottle, thanks to Yourilevesque. 2016 product. Opaque dark brown with smallish foamy tan head, woodsy mocha aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish mocha taste with wood flavor, and bit of sourness, smooth thickish body, long mocha finish. Very very smooth and well covered alcohol content. Great brew!
