Bottle 75 cl. In my version named: "Grande Cuvée Reserve de Nöel" at 10,5% ABV. Pours a beautiful, clear amber with a small, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and distinct Xmas spices - lots of spruce here. Very rich in body, sweetish malty, intensely spicy which eventually gets sticky and cloying. 261217

750 ml bottle. Brewed on 25/11/2015. Thanks Timo A! Dark red color with a small off-white head. Spices, xmas spices, sweet malt and red apples in the aroma. The flavor is spices... xmas spice overdose... some bitterness and sweet malt. Santa Claus came too late. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Brasseur du Temps, Gatineau. Cloudy nut brown. Becherovka aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Gingersnaps and Becherovka all the way. Herbal bitter finish. A perfect copy of Becherovka, but with less alcohol and more caramelly malt.

75cl Bottle @ 2D2Dspuma Tienda, Barcelona, Spain. Dark reddish amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma is malt, sweet, fruity, slightly spicy. Flavor is malt, sweet, citric, raisins, spicy, boozy. Medium body, medium carbonation. Warming and spicy Christmas Ale.

Bottle purchased at the brewery in Brossard (worth the trip!). 750 ml corked bottle poured into a snifter. Appears a clear orange-amber color. No head, no lacing. Aroma is a complex medley of what’s to come on the taste buds. Here’s what I taste, in no particular order: ginger cookies, anadama bread, cinnamon, maple syrup, spruce tips, candied tangerines, caramel, honey, figs, dates, and candied nuts. It’s sweet, to be sure, yet not cloying; there’s just enough prickly bitterness and smokiness to balance it out. But, let’s be clear, at 10.5 percent and with this many calories, this is definitely a sipper -- ideally in front of a warm fire and the Xmas tree.

Darl coppery color with an off-white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of caramel, toasted malts, molasses, some cinnamon and ginger. Flavor is moderate sweet, toasty, spiced. Final with notes of honey and spiced hints.
