UPDATED: SEP 21, 2006 Pours a reddish copper color with a medium offwhite head. Good aroma of caramel and toasted malt. The flavor is very malt-oriented, some caramel, some toasted and some smoked, interesting. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. UPDATED: AUG 20, 2008 Rating for the new Rousse version: A generous toastiness in the nose is joined by round caramel once tasted, a maltiness balanced out by earthy hoppiness and its decent bitterness. The end result is able-bodied, drinkable and quite flavorful for what is supposed to be their mass marketed "Rousse" offering. Should give Boréale Rousse a fun for its money in the party-going crowd, if proper marketing is done. HopheadHans (804) - Bay Area, California, USA - SEP 18, 2007
Bottle. Red color, medium head. Aromas of malts, a bit of yeast and grain. Some ffarmhouse like character, in addition to a dominant malt profile. Quite a decent beer. JorisPPattyn (10004) - Ursel, BELGIUM - JAN 11, 2009
Fiery-foxy, deep copper colour with a dense, creamy, cream-coloured head that proves quite stable. Very chocolatey aroma; chocolate "truffles" with cacaopowder, bark- or rootspices, sweetish, toffee. Bitter first impression with background toffee and roasted chocolate again. Some amber/roasted malts obvious. Very carbonated MF, rather light body, some slickness. Watery finish. I like the onset of this beer very much - a more-bitter-than-usual Vienna. Unfortunately, the bitterness fades quickly away, revealing more and more the inherent emptiness. Still - not bad. Thanks for the collecting job, I&I EnSiFeRuM (501) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 22, 2009

341ml brown bottle 09-08-28 : Deep amber, close to brown in color, solid head on the pour but quickly disappear. Some lacing. Pleasant nose, a touch of caramel, dark fruits. Medium body, some roasted note in the finish low bitterness, some spices (hops) Nice session beer. DuffMan (10435) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 2, 2009
Bottle as part of the mixed-case offered by LTM. Pours a beautiful hazy deep red-orange with a dense tan head that leaves fine early lace. Nutty caramel aroma and flavour, some toast and soft marzipan notes in the finish. Mild bitterness. A very nice vienna. sseb69 (1909) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 28, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2014 Bouteille 341 ml. 5%. Belle couleur brune-rousse claire. Arôme sucrée de caramel et un peu de houblon floral. Goût de caramel, malt et un peu de noisettes. Très bonne bière. reebtogi (6277) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 8, 2011
341mL bottle from variety pack poured a nice amber color with a modest white head which settled down to spots of lacing. Aromas of lightly toasted malts and some floral hops. Taste is caramel sweetness with a modest hop bitterness in the end. Palate is fine with light to medium body and adequate carbonation. piscator34 (2534) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 30, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 31, 2005 Light copper in colour with a medium amount of carbonation. The aromas are mainly caramel malts, with a bit of herbal hops and a lagerish kick on the back end. Flavors are those of caramel and toasted malts with a bit of husky grains creaping in on the finish. Solid and drinkable, but unspectacular. Thanks Lubiere!
