I have loved every beer from Les Trois. Pours a bright ruby red orange body with a two finger yellowish head. The nose is sweet and caramelly with a hint of toffee and grainy notes. Odd musty aroma...not awful. Light citrus hop aromas. The flavor has lemon and grapefruit hoppiness, but not too bitter. Sweet and caramel malts. Overall, well balanced and tasty.

Pours deep orange, slightly hazed with a generous white foamy cap. The nose is simple, but enjoyable. Fresh floral hops and bready malts with apple and cookie dough. The taste is decidedly fresh green hops, nice caramel and bready malts balance the floral bitterness. Finishes bitter, with a long lived lingering aftertaste of hops and bread crust. Simple, but well made and enjoyable.

Bottled sample. Pale orange in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of floral perfume, pale malt, and pine sap. Flavours are kind of earthy hop forward with a kind of wild berries, leaves, and twigs thing going on. Some citrus and floral notes come to the fore later, with a pale malt and grain husk element on the finish. Solid bitterness. Clearly a bit rustic, in a farmhouse sort of way. Not bad, but not really my thing for this style of beer.

[4301-20120217] Bottle. Floral leafy malt aroma. Slightly hazy, orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Slightly burnt bread malt flavour. Medium body. Interesting but rough. (6/3/6/3/11) 2.9-

Bottle, shared with my brother-in-law. Deep burnt-orange colour, hazy, with a lively tan finely bubbled head. Aroma is, broadly speaking, floral and spicy. More specifically, there are notes suggestive of rosehips, strawberry, ginger, and burnt sugar. Flavour is sweet, with fruity caramel driving the palate, and soft floral and spicy elements adding complexity. Some fruit in here too, but definitely not citrus in my mind.... really tough for me to pin this one down. Fairly low bitterness. Amazingly complex, but not something I would categorize as an APA-- I don’t care what you call it, I loved it.

750ml brown bottle, corked. Gold-orange pour with haze. Big bubbly white head that leaves spotty lacing. Nose has caramel malt, light orangey and grapefruit notes with a light piney note. Taste has some caramel and earth notes, hops are a bit woody and citrusy. Mild lingering bitterness with earth, citrus and grass aftertastes. Mild, light mouthfeel with average carbonation. Seems a bit mellow, hops could be brighter.

750ml corked bottle pours amber in color with a 2 finger white head with great retention and some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains with some citrus hops. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with some earthy notes and a moderate citrusy hop finish. Medium body and lively carbonation leave a nice feeling on the palate. A very well done pale ale that was tasty and enjoyable.

750 ml bottle. Had with a homemade spicy pizza. Pours a foggy orange-golden amber with a persistent white head. Smells of lemon and lime. Tastes of sweet citrus, oranges, lemon and lime. Very strong, persistent and sharo citrus bitterness. Medium to full bodied, frothy mouthfeel. Excellent bitter pale ale, went along great with my pizza.

2012-02-17. Crisp dark orange large foamy off white head. Dusty malty aroma, light greenery light citrus. 6+ Flavour is similar earthy leafy green hops, muted citrus touches. 7+ Smooth average palate is nice. Okay. Bit muddled overall, possibly on the old side? Bottle from Dépanneur Tout-Près, Levis
